Sorting the draftees out is something that I enjoy and will do over the course of a season right up to draft day.
I sort by Int first - I have my own minimum value requirements for each position except for DT (where I only want max Str) and DE (where I am looking for Str & Spe) Then I sort by Exp. Spe, Str and TW - However for some positions I have minimum requirements (e.g OL for me needs high TW) and then shuffle my order accordingly Last edited on 2020-08-27 06:51:40 by dumpling |

You know how you make your draft list and then you draft a player and ask yourself: "why was he my no 6 pick!?"
His speed 50 is nice but age is 23 and INT is a miserable 30. I think I need to accept this a bust already. I will keep him around until end of season and see what I think of him then. |

So far I have picked up a 19 year old CB to fit in for the ones that have reached retirement age plus a 21 year old RB.
Both of them have max speed, both have TW and INT in the mid 30's which I'm happy with. My philosophy is to try and draft players that are maxed out on speed or strength with TW and INT hopefully above 35, in the 40's would be perfect. The idea behind this is that I have one less of the physicals to waste time training them up on so I can, hopefully, get into building their position skills quicker which should make them available for first team selection earlier and for longer. Also I quite often do not allow players reach retirement age if it appears their salary is getting too high, the end of last season I cut 10 players to reduce the wage bill by nearly 700k including 3 that could of been HOF's over the next few seasons, but then again I am not particularly interested in the club's HOF as am always developing players to take over the lead roles in the meat factory and once I get better younger ones the oldies get culled. |

A Bovakian statement if there ever was one
I am the opposite and a sucker for the youth or draft player who will finish his career with the team and enter the HoF. I am willing to pay a too high salary to achieve this as well. Last season I did but players from this calibre though as I needed to save on wages so perhaps I'm learning the Bovakian school of team management  |

Round 3 brought in a 23 year old Safety, even though his INT is only 31 he is maxed on speed and already over 30 on tackling was makes him a back up in the making and helps me create a little bit more depth in the safety area.
