I drafted a 50INT LB with pretty much 50/50 SPD/STR, what do you think of moving him to QB?
I'm hesitant because he has the heavyweight trait, but I haven't really spotted any QBs in my first 3 drafts that stand out and I read int/Spd/str is important for a QB? Edit. He's playing as a DE at the moment. Last edited on 2021-08-08 08:34:00 by daithi |

I see he has only EXP=2.5* so he definitely needs to play to became the monster he deserves to be. After 2500x2 snaps he will have more or less exp = 3.5* and after further 3500x2 snaps he will have exp = 4.5* If you let him play every game it will take 5 seasons, so he is perfectly on track 21+5 = 26 ready to play for at least 4 or more seasons. You have to let him play on an offensive position even during his conversion time to gain the exp he needs. PAS=13.5 to rach 33.5 you need more or less a season and an half. So in the beginning of S46 he turns 23 and he would have POS=VIS=PAS=TKL= 33 more or less. To be ready POS=VIS=PAS=48.5 you need 48.5-33=15.5 points x three skills so more or less at least three other seasons and an half. So if I am not wrong in the beginning of S49 when he turns 26 or maxumum in the beginning of season S50 (27 yo) he will be ready as a monster QB. More or less a season and an half later than if you play him MLB. I would not burn his INT=50 playing him as DE. Having a MLB like him in my opinion is needed as having a QB like him. If you do not have another MLB of this caliber I would not convert him as QB. Anyway I think the conversion is possible, do not forget he needs to play every snaps he can in the next 5 seasons. |

I've converted LBs to become QBs several times, but in this case I totally agree with PJ.
In addition to the experience being a possible issue, his Teamwork isn't great so the speed of his training is a little slow for conversion. And with that TW, his Talent is largely irrelevant - if he is trained in a balanced fashion it'll be a long time before it factors into anything. Do you want to spend 4-5 seasons making a great QB? Or do you want a great MLB who can be an every down star in about 2-3 seasons? Whichever you choose, with 2.5xp at age 21 he needs to be an every down player right now anyway in order to realise his full potential. Last edited on 2021-08-08 13:18:04 by JonnyP |

Agreed with all of the above. And with the 3-4-4 and 4-4-3 being the most common defenses used, you really need to have a bunch of LBs on your roster and only a couple of QBs.
As an aside, don't fret "wasted" special traits. There are so many factors involved in every play, I feel everyone overvalues traits when in all reality, they probably contribute very little to actual results. The only trait I see consistently making a difference is track star when paired with a 50 spd player, and most noticeably at QB (to avoid sacks) and LB (to cause sacks) |

And now the entire AC South is bot and more than half of the AC is bot. One of the strongest regions in the game for so many years is on life support. At least our top teams are still representing the region well
