Rankings from (10,7,6, 2) to (5,5,17,2 ). Wins VS Teams with winning records: Balaton, Mirmidome, Minglewood, Astana Contending For Playoff Spot If the above 4 win their divisions then only 2 of these 4 will get a playoff spot. 7-5 Derbent Convicts 7-5 Bath Bucks Both of these above teams were in the working towards next season category but have both been on a winning streak. Bucks have won 5 in a row and Derbent has won 6 in a row. Among the teams they beat are the ones below that are one game back. 6-6Minglewood 6-6 Balaton 6-6 Godesberg 6-6 Astana formerly Toffee and they just went bot. Sucks for Sakeo as they just lost to this team only for them to go bot. Building For The Future Everyone else. Last edited on 2021-12-04 21:56:16 by sfniner08 |

Overall Champion Contenders
These are the handful of teams that I feel are contending for the League Championship: St. Pauli vs Either Budapest or Red Bull for NC champions. Beings St. Pauli beat Red Bull and lost to Budapest makes me think it will come down to who faces who. If the playoffs started today then Budapest is 2nd seed and in a better position to face St. Pauli last if they beat Redbull (assuming they win wild card game). In the AC it is 4 teams. Turigtians, SF, Vikings, and Miami. SF and Miami have not played any of the other 3 in this group. Turigtians beat Vikings earlier in the season. Miami has the more talented roster but lost to the defunct Lagos and were soundly beaten by Redbull. I have no idea out of these 4 who will be there. lol |

Games Preview
There are several games tomorrow that have playoff implications! Derbent VS Miami D The Convicts have been on a serious roll to get to 7-5. A loss here wouldn't kill the playoff chances but it would drop them into a potential tie with other teams at 7-6. For Derbent that isn't a good thing with one of the smaller PD out of those teams. A win would solidify their chances of being in the wildcard and would put them only 2 games back of Miami in the division. This also might be a preview of a playoff match depending on seeding. A win or loss for Miami most likely won't impact them either way. Bath Bucks Vs Minglewood Much like Derbent the Bucks have been on a roll and sit at 7-5 and control their own playoff destiny. Minglewood is sitting at 6-6, one game back of these Bucks but with a better PD. Minglewood has lost 4 in a row. Another loss almost pushes them out of the playoff picture. The last 2 losses they were messing around with different playbooks. A team that played the first 10 games using one play in the playbook for 99% of it's plays then reversed course and did the opposite in the 11th game. They then used a completely different single minded playbook in the last game. If it is the minglewood of old then it will be tough for the Bucks but if Minglewood continues to tinker with the playbook the Bucks should make work of them. Mirmidones Vs Cheshire Cheshire is sitting at 8-4 with a 3 game lead on NE with 4 games to play. A win will lock it up barring a miracle run by NE. For Mirmidones they are tied with Owls for the final wild card spot. Both teams are 7-5. However the Owls have a better PD so Mirmidones needs this win to keep up. Owls vs Bulls The Bulls don't need this victory but the Owls do. As stated in the previous matchup preview they are tied with Mirmidones for the final wild card spot so a win here puts the pressure on Mirmidones. If both Mirmidones and Owls lose then it would put them into a 3 way tie with Sakeo who I expect to win the next game. Vikings Vs Balaton Vikings are currently the 3rd seed so a loss here or if Miami wins by 23 more points in their match the Vikings then drop to the 4th seed. Balaton is hanging on in the crowded group looking in for the last wild card spot. They need this win. |

u p d a t e after last set of games
In the AC 4 playoff spots are locked in. Turigtians, SF, and Miami have officially taken their respective divisions. Vikings locked in a playoff spot and are 1 game away from locking in the division. If Vikings win one more game they win division. They have Bucks, Minglewood, and Balaton left. Wildcard hunt for last 2 spots! 8-5 Bucks: Even if they won all three games and Vikings lost all 3 games the PD is way too much for Bucks to win division. So they are competing for the wild card spot. Games left are VS :Vikings, Cheshire ,Godesberg 7-6 Godesberg games left VS: Balaton, Preston, Bucks 7-6 Derbent games left VS: Astana (bot), Owls , Foxes(bot) 6-7 Balaton games left VS: Godesberg ,Turigtians, Vikings 6-7 Minglewood Games left VS: Preston, Vikings, Turigtians I think Derbent is probably a lock for one of these spots since they play 2 bots in this three game stretch. Minglewood and Balaton are longshots at this point since they both play 2 division champs each plus Godesberg while being 2 games back of Bucks. So I think the last playoff spot comes down to Godesberg and Bucks with Bucks having a one game lead right now. They play each other the last game of the season. NC 3 Playoff spots locked in Red Bull and Budapest won their divisions. St. Pauli leads their division and locked in a playoff spot. They have Ankh, Brookfield, and Blackmanes left. They need one more win to technically lock in the division, however they have a 200 point differential advantage over Blackmanes so it is pretty much locked in. The final 3 spots 8-5 Cheshire. Will win the division with the huge PD lead over NE and 2 very winnable games left on their schedule. So really there are 2 spots left.... 11-3 Blackmanes. A win by them or a loss by both Owls and Sakeo locks them in. 8-5 Mirmidones have Owls, Wolves, and a Bot left. Honestly for Sakeo or Owls to make it they need help. Owls play all three of their games against teams with winning records. Sakeo has a couple as well. In fact they play each other the final game of the year. I would be shocked to not see Blackmanes and Mirmidones as the wildcards. |

Upcoming Games Of Interest
11-2 Vikings VS 8-5 Bucks A win for Vikings wins the division. Bucks want win to keep pressure on Vikings and to keep a game ahead of the pack in the wildcard chase. First matchup between these two teams resulted in a 26-16 win for the Vikings. Two interceptions thrown by Bucks led to 6 points for Vikings. It was a competitive game! 7-6 Godesberg vs 6-7 Balaton A loss for Balaton is pretty much the end of their season. 10-3 Blackmanes vs 12-1 Budapest 2 playoff bound teams. Could be a preview of a matchup to come in the playoffs? A loss by Budapest would drop them to 3rd seed. Blackmanes can afford to lose this one without it costing them anything but it will see how they stack up against another playoff team. 8-5 Mirmidones vs 7-6 Owls A win by Mirmidones would essentially lock up the last playoff spot in the NC since they have a bot still on their schedule. 13-0 SF vs 11-2 Miami D The game has little cost/reward for Miami D as they have locked in the division. A loss would not affect them, a win would put them into position to be in the 3rd seed instead of the 4th. A win for me would keep me the number one seed. A loss could put me in a difficult path to keep the number 1 seed as Turigtians is close in PD with 1 loss while I still also have to play Budapest last game of the season. It is feasible for me to drop from the 1 seed to the 4th seed by the end of the year. lol. Honestly I'm super nervous about this game. Both Miami and myself are balanced offenses. Miami has a distinct rating advantage on me. I need to game plan this to have a chance. This is my toughest opponent this so far this season and will let me know if I stand a chance to compete in the playoffs. |

Playoff Picture with 2 games to go
AC 1. SF 14-0. left is vs Budapest and vs Fort Worth 2. Turigitans 13-1 left vs Balaton and vs Minglewood 3. Vikings 12-2 lefts vs Minglewood and vs Balaton 4. Miami 11-3 left vs Carson City and vs Maryland 5. Convicts 8-6 pd 37 left vs Owls and vs bot 6. Bucks 8-6 pd 20 left vs Cheshire and vs Godesberg - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 7. Godesberg 8-6 pd 6 left vs Preston and vs Bucks 8. Minglewood 7-7 pd 39 left vs Vikings and vs Turigtians 9. Maryland 7-7 pd -161 left vs bot and vs Miami 10. Balaton 6-8 pd 37 left vs Turigtians and vs Vikings 11. France 6-8 pd -72 left vs Ankh and vs Baltimore All other teams in AC are mathematically eliminated. How I think it will finish and why: 1. SF has number 1 seed locked up barring a blowout loss to Budapest. I can lose just not get blown out. 2. Turigtians could lose one of the two and still keep 2nd season with tiebreakers. 3. Vikings same situation as Turigtians 4. Miami locked in at 4 unless Vikings lose both games. 5. Convicts are in since the last game is vs bot. Yes their record is the same as Godesberg and Bucks but both those teams play each other their last game so at least one is guaranteed a loss. 6. Godesberg plays Preston who they should beat (not guaranteed of course) then finish vs bucks. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ------------------ 7. Bucks could take it from Godesberg but they HAVE to win vs Cheshire next which is a tough game. IF they beat Cheshire then they are in if they beat Godesberg. Bucks definitely control their own destiny and don't need help but they have a tougher next game so 6 and 7 could flip from what I think will happen. ------------------------------- Minglewood has to play both Turigtians and Vikings. Unlikely they win both games. To get in they would need to win both and have help from Godesberg and Bucks. Maryland still has to play Miami and the -161 pd is too much to overcome. They are out of the running. Balaton and France are in the same situation. They aren't mathematically eliminated but Convicts isn't going to lose to a bot so they will have 7 losses max. Bucks and Godesberg play each other so at least one of them will have a max of 7 losses. So for intents and purposes they are out. So really it comes down to Bucks and Godesberg fighting it out for the final spot. NC 1. St. Pauli 13-1 pd 440 left vs Brookefield and vs Blackmanes 2. Budapest 13-1 pd 311 left vs SF and American Eagles 3. Red Bull 12-2 pd 334 left vs Michigan and vs Carson City 4. Cheshire 9-5 left vs Bucks and vs Michigan 5. Blackmanes 10-4 left vs Tigers and vs St. Pauli 6. Mirmidones 9-5 left vs Jackalopes and vs bot ------------------------- 7. Sakeo 8-6 left vs NE and vs Owls 8. Owls 7-7. pd 72 left vs DErbent and vs NE 9. NE 7-7. pd -127 left vs Sakeo and vs Tigers How I think it finishes and why: 1. St. Pauli will win next game and it comes down to vs Blackmanes who they beat a few games ago. 2 and 3 comes down to Budapest vs SF. Red bull does not lose it last 2 games which means for Budapest they have to win the last 2 games as well to keep a game ahead. Red Bull has a slight pd advantage over Budapest so if Budapest lost then their pd would get worse. I am NOT going to say who will win SF vs Budapest but that game will determine the 2 and 3 seeds. 4. Cheshire is firmly locked in this spot. They will win division. The only way for them to not win division is for them to lose both games, NE win both games and Cheshire has to lose both by a combined 200 points. Not happening, even if they were a bot. lol. 5. Blackmanes are locked in this spot no matter what. They can't win the division and even if they lost both games the pd is too large for any team to catch them. 6. Mirmidones are almost a virtual lock. If they beat Jackalopes then they locked in with a final game vs bot. ----------------------------------- Sakeo is the only one left with a chance. NE and Owls can't make it with a 2 game deficit and Mirmidones having a bot on the schedule. For Sakeo to get in Mirmidones has to lose to Jackalopes and Sakeo has to beat both Owls and NE. Bottom line the only playoff seeding not settled is the 2/3 seeds. |

Playoff Picture and Game Review
AC 1. SF 14-1 PD 509 2. Turigtians 14-1 PD 485 Not that it matters much the 1 or 2 seed. I don't envision either team losing next week so it might come down to PD who is the 1 or 2 seed. Regardless these are the top 2 seeds no matter what. Turigtians held a slim lead until later in the game and opend up on Balaton which put the final nail in the coffin on Balaton's season. SF lost to the wolves by 11 points. All stats between both teams were fairly even. The wolves won with turnovers. A 40 yard interception return and an interception on the opp 29 yard line which shortly turned into a touchdown was the margin of victory. This put an end to any team going undefeated. 3. Vikings 13-2 4. Miami 12-3 These two teams are locked in, well in my opinion anyway. Miami should win easily and even if the Vikings lost to Balaton, who they recently beat 17-0, it would have to be by a large margin to overcome the PD lead the Vikings have over Miami. 5. Bucks 9-6 pd 27 6. Godesberg 9-6 pd 20 - - - - - - - - - - - - - 7. Derbent 8-7 pd 35 The Bucks held off Cheshire in a 27-20 victory. They won by forcing 3 interceptions off of Cheshire and controlling the clock with plenty of runs. Bucks held the ball for 61% of the time and ran 50+ times at 4 yards a play. Godesberg took care of business. Derbent held a 28-9 lead going into the 4th quarter vs the owls but got outscored 21-0 in the fourth quarter when within the last minute of the game the owls scored their 3rd touchdown. With the 28-30 loss the Convicts dropped to 8-7. However, that is not the end for the Convicts as I think they are going to end up with one of the 2 wild card spots. The 2 teams ahead of them play each other for the last regular season game. Meaning the winner of that game is obviously in while the loser of that game drops to a tiebreaker situation with Convicts. With the current pd the Convicts have a slight advantage and they also play a team that just came off of being bot so it should be a convincing win. So really the wild card spots will be Derbent and the winner of the Bucks/Godesberg game. NC 1. Budapest 14-1 Their last games is vs a team they recently beat 41-0 so I feel confident in saying they will keep this number 1 seed after defeating me with 2 turnovers that lead to touchdowns. Nice game Budapest! I would love to rematch if I can survive the AC and you survive the NC in the playoffs! 2. St. Pauli 13-2 PD 415 3. Red Bull 13-2 PD 376 So I'm still trying to wrap my head around the last game St. Pauli played. They got creamed by 25 points to Brookfied who is 4-11 and has a 49% rating. I mean no offense to Brookfield but it is quite extraordinary that St. Pauli threw 7 interceptions. I mean Miami has thrown 7 all season! So 7 in a game.....crazy. That game drops them tied with Red Bull who is 39 points behind in the pd. Red Bull SHOULD handle Carson City just fine. Whereas St. Pauli plays Blackmanes who they eaked a 5 point victory against in the first meeting this season. If St. Pauli loses or Red Bull wins by 40 points more than St. Pauli does in their game then these 2 seeds will flip. These are the 2 and 3 seeds regardless. 4. Cheshire 9-6 pd 72 This is technically the only NC team that hasn't clinched a playoff spot but a win over Michigan and they are in. Even if they lost this game it would drop them into a 9-7 tie with NE if they win. However NE has a -109 pd. It is impossible to swing a combined 181 pd in one game. So Cheshire is locked into this spot. 5. Blackmanes 6. Mimirdones The 5 and 6 are locked in regardless of what happens next game. All of this text but really there is only one game of consequence that will determine who is in the playoffs and who is out and that is the Bucks vs Godesberg game. |
