Only one game to go on Dragons 1. We already have 7 division champs and 8 qualified teams for the playoffs but some battles are still open for some teams. Let's take a look:

Who will be AC #1?

We have 3 teams with 12-3 that are fighting for it: Alert Polar Bears, Rio Atoms and SkiD Marks. Math says that Paladins (11-4) stands a chance but it is nearly impossible for them. Actually, the Polar Bears will probably confirm AC East title and secure home advantage because they will face the Armadillos (1-14) and it is expected a 60-point margin win making it impossible to overcome the PD.

Who is getting a playoff bye?

On the NC we already have the Alaskan Fur Traders (15-0) and The Pinellas Pikes (12-3) confirmed as #1 and #2. As commented above the Polar Bears will have a bye on the AC playoffs. The last spot will be decided between Rio Atoms and SkiD Marks. Both teams have difficult division games against teams still fighting for wildcard. Rio have the PD advantage and will play last game at home. I think they have the edge here but everything can happen depending on the use of MOTY.

What about the wildcards?

Despite the table do not show it (probably because the system do not take PD in the calculations for the playoff preview) both NC North teams' Oldtown Rooks (9-6) and Gardians (9-6) are secured on the playoffs even facing each other on the last game of the season. Budapest Wolves (8-7) could tie on the record with the loser but they are unable to overcome such a large PD deficit. On the AC the fight is insane: Paladins (11-4), Quack Attack (10-5), Panthers (10-5), Westlake Marines (9-6), and Baltic Stars (9-6) are fighting for 2 spots. Paladins are quite comfortable here because of the better record and larger PD over the 10-5 teams. The other wildcard spot will probably come from AC North as all three teams left stands a chance. But Baltic Stars huge PD could be decisive if the right combination happens for them (and if they are able to defeat the Atoms at road). Quite impossible to predict the outcome!

Hey and the relegations?

Well at this very moment nobody will actually be relegated as Pete is looking for closing D2 leagues. But we will still have relegation (r) games to be scheduled this season. We have four NC teams fighting for only one spot out of the relegation zone (or maybe fighting to keep that place and play one more game...). Cargese Dolphins (5-10), Brookfield Ukies (4-9), Godesberg Longhorns (4-9), and St Pauli Packers (4-9) still have something to fight for. The Dolphins have the edge here with a better record and the easiest game (@ dERBENT CONVICTS (1-14)) and it would be a big surprise if they do not stay out of the relegation zone.

I think that AC wildcard battle deserves a lot more of comments but it is so complex that I prefered to say that it is INSANE! Good luck for everyone!

Thanks for all the work on the power rankings.

If I don't get promoted this season I will have a fire sale of my highest paid players, anyone 26 and over pretty much.

Congratulations to Radvador and the Paladins! It was a fun game but unfortunately I was not the one enjoying the most at the end. Almost managed to complete a 26-point comeback but there was a winning FG at the last minute on my way.

Time to focus on the next season roster. Some guys are already on TM and many other may have the same fate on the forthcoming days.
