This is pretty simple. We should make OOP penalties harsher. This subject is already mentioned in the thread -https://redzoneaction.org/football/index.php?page=community&subpage=thread&thread_id=100026143

I also touched on this in one of my suggestions about adding more realism to the game.
https://redzoneaction.org/football/index.php?page=community&subpage=thread&thread_id=100026328

This is a very simple step and will help prevent abuse as suggested in the first thread above as mentioned by Gooroo.

It also resonates with my thread talking about a team having 50+ DL on their roster. As you will note I am not criticising the team or the manager but just pointing out that this is totally unrealistic and we should not have a system that supports this.

I am not 100% sure about this. I have played some games with OOP players before and the result was far from good. But recent evidence showed that an OOP player acting as QB was capable to accomplish 13/13 completed passes which is totally unacceptable and "unrealistic" (we must be careful with this term because this is a game not a RL simulator). In other words, I am undecided about it.

Thanks for your feedback. I will try some games myself with OOP but I had picked up on this QB problem and thought if this was the case there is definitely something wrong.

Of course even if it is not a RL simulator I still feel it is wrong to have an entire roster composed of one position. People who do it must obtain some benefit from doing so. If they do not then surely the game should be designed to help them by limiting the numbers at each position and demanding a minimum at certain positions.

I would bet that the team you played had a high CP DL coach. The manager is probably trying to train his guys up as quickly as possible and wins are not a priority for him/her right now. Just my amateur guess, but there is a benefit.

I believe there is also a limit for training more than a certain number of players at any one position to deter this kind of strategy from getting out of hand. I don't recall if I read this in the manual or the guide.

I think you should be allowed to have a player/players who can play more than one position (eg Cornerback/Wide receiver).

I also agree that there should be a limit on players in one position in a roster.

Hope helpful

There shouldn't be a large penalty for a OL as FB/TE or TE as WR or vice versa. Right now my backup QB is an OL because of coaches.

Yeah I agree that similar positions like LB CB SF should have a lesser penalty than DL to QB

I think the penalty should be the same for all positions. Those with similar skill sets (like WR/TE, CB/SF/LB) already provides "less penalties" because of this similarity. And I think that this idea would make things too complicated to implement.
