From time to time I receive requests where a manager wants to change the region of his team. Very often it is about changing the time, regular home games have their kickoff - in RZA that kickofftime is bound to the region.
In RedZoneCLash we offer such a change of the region. Each manager reveives a PM right after season rollover. There is a link in there, and if he clicks it, he can see available slots from bot teams in other regions. One click later, the managers team will have exchanged slots with the bot team that was selected. This change regions thing is open from rollover until Friday before the very first gameday, so for about 6 days. In RZA I would have to exclude teams from this change, if they play the upcoming season in Elite. And you would block your opportunity to change leagues if you pledged for the mediacenter already Last edited on 2023-02-01 19:48:11 by pete |

Since I'm the one who just today asked you about this I just wanted to throw in why I did so:
My team's playing in the Admirals-Region with a kick-off-time at 2100 GMT, which is 2200/10pm for me in Hamburg. Which is ok since then all the family-business is over and I can sit down and enjoy the game, without getting to bed too late. But that's only in winter, since we have that time change in spring and in autumn, and after the next change the kickoff will be at 2300/11pm, and that's awful late. Hence the thought about changing the region to have an earlier kickoff. Now then... having thought about this for a while not all the other regions have kickoff times that would be far more attractive. And even in this short time that we are part of this game we already have a few league-opponents that we meet time and time again which is fun. Although that would build in other leagues as well, I guess. All in all, I voted "yes", because I like the idea to have that chance. Would I get the opportunity to change to the Dragons-Region I would do it in a heartbeat, just for the kick-off one hour earlier. Would I change to Galaxy or Monarchs if the chance comes? I doubt it. But having an opportunity to move without having to start all over would be very welcome  |

One more thing I thought of, though: Maybe this opportunity would favor teams from similar time zones to play in the same region... which may result e. g. in an all-american-continents-region because they favor the kick-off that's nearest to their evening. This may be a reason to not make it, because I, for one, really like the diversity in the different regions.

I understand that. But why not 4 seasons? Or 6? I want to understand the reason to choose those 5 seasons...
I would suggest 1 per (real life) year. I do not know how many RZA seasons this correspond (maybe 5 seasons?). |
