Live from Cincinnati, home of the Bungals, we welcome you to the S64 Sea Devils League Draft. The lights are bright, the arena is packed, and history is being made tonight.
Mike Reynolds: Good evening, football fans around the world. We are live here in Cincinnati for the Sea Devils League Draft. And with the first pick, the Fuenlabrada Falcons s e l e c t cornerback Ugnius Vasiliauskas. A defensive back goes number one overall — that already tells us a lot about this league. Chad Thurman: Absolutely. If a corner goes first, teams are expecting a lot of passing. Vasiliauskas is tall, fast, and physical. That’s the kind of player you leave one-on-one with the top receiver. Kayla Moreno: And he’s already trending online. The moment his name was called, highlights started spreading everywhere. Fans love confident defensive backs, and he definitely has that personality. Prof. Elias Bergmann: What stands out to me immediately is where these players are coming from. Even in the first few picks, we see talent from several different regions. The league is clearly building an international foundation. Mike Reynolds: After that it stayed defensive. Álvaro Palacios went to the Badalona Cheetahs and Viliame Erenio to the Copenhagen Chargers. Three defensive players right away. Chad Thurman: That shows the direction teams are going. They want to stop offenses first. Linebackers and corners are key for that. Kayla Moreno: And defensive highlights perform really well online. Big hits and interceptions always get attention. Prof. Elias Bergmann: Geographically, we’re already seeing a cluster in Western and Northern Europe. Those areas might become early talent centers for the league. Mike Reynolds: And now the moment the crowd here was waiting for. With the fourth pick, the Cincinnati Bungals s e l e c t linebacker Ruslan Gapparov. Chad Thurman: That’s a tone setter. He plays downhill and very aggressive. That’s the kind of guy who can lead a defense. Kayla Moreno: The crowd reaction was huge. Definitely the loudest so far. And he’s already doing interviews — very confident, very comfortable in front of the camera. Prof. Elias Bergmann: He also comes from a region that hasn’t traditionally produced many professional players. That shows how wide the scouting network is. Mike Reynolds: After that we saw a run on defensive linemen. Ruslan Stoliar to the Downriver Seals, Kittichai Nitaya to the Patagonia Raptors, and Nabaraj Lama to the Baltimore Blue Crabs. Chad Thurman: That’s how you build a team. Start with the line. If you control the line of scrimmage, you control the game. Kayla Moreno: Fans are reacting strongly to those picks too. The highlight clips are spreading fast. Prof. Elias Bergmann: And again, we see a wide geographic spread. Players from very different regions are filling these central defensive roles. Mike Reynolds: With the eleventh pick, the Minnesota Silver Foxes s e l e c t defensive lineman Luis Omar. Chad, that’s your team. Chad Thurman: I like the pick. He’s strong inside and takes up space. Guys like that make linebackers’ jobs easier. Kayla Moreno: The fan reaction looks very positive so far. Prof. Elias Bergmann: This pick also fits the geographic pattern. Many defensive players seem to come from inland development regions. Mike Reynolds: In the middle of the round we saw several offensive linemen drafted. Garfield Hoyt went to the Rome Centvrions, August Lauridsen to Rome Torresina, Sandor Lehmann to St Pauli, and Matana Dau to the Hamburg Sea Lions. Chad Thurman: Those are important picks. You can’t build an offense without protection. Kayla Moreno: They’re not flashy picks, but fans understand their importance. Prof. Elias Bergmann: Interestingly, many of those linemen come from colder regions, which often produce bigger players suited for line positions. Mike Reynolds: Later in the round the quarterbacks started coming off the board. Kadhi Sesay went to the Pacific Warhawks, Arnbjörn Papenfuss to the Northern Storm, Hussein Sharif to the Yorkshire Sea-Owls, and Evaristo Ríos to the Kraków Conquerors. Chad Thurman: That shows teams wanted to build their foundation first. Kayla Moreno: But every quarterback pick caused a spike in online activity. Fans always react to quarterbacks. Prof. Elias Bergmann: And those quarterbacks come from very different regions. Teams are clearly searching globally for leaders. Mike Reynolds: Toward the end of the round, the pattern stayed consistent — strong defense, strong line play, and carefully selected skill players. Chad Thurman: That’s how you build teams from scratch. Kayla Moreno: And fans are already picking their favorites. Prof. Elias Bergmann: At the same time, regional patterns are starting to emerge. Some areas produce faster players, others more physical ones. Mike Reynolds: And with the final pick of the first round, the Social Distance Runners s e l e c t cornerback Kadir Hossein, closing out a historic first round here in Cincinnati. Chad Thurman: Now it gets real. Kayla Moreno: The fans are ready. Prof. Elias Bergmann: And the league is beginning to take geographic shape. Mike Reynolds: The first round of the Sea Devils League Draft is complete. The first players have been selected, and their careers begin right here, right now. Opposing QB's Tremble in Fear Nabaraj Lama is Here
Now that Round 1 is done, the hard work of finding stars that slipped through the cracks begins, and This season without any specific holes to fill, it's proving very hard. |

Mike Reynolds: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome back to our live coverage of the Sea Devils League S64 Draft here in Cincinnati, Ohio — proud home of the Bungals. Yes, the Bungals, not the Bengals, and tonight the city is buzzing as round two of the draft has just wrapped up. Yesterday gave us fireworks in the first round, but today we saw teams start to reveal their real plans for the future. With me in the studio: Minnesota Silver Foxes linebacker Chad Thurman, Seattle Sea-Reapers wide receiver Shelton Oh, and our social media wizard Kayla Moreno. Folks, round two is officially in the books.
Kayla Moreno: Mike, the energy here in Cincinnati has been incredible all day. My phone hasn’t stopped buzzing since the Falcons kicked off round two with Shombay Fankhaüser at pick thirty-three. Fans absolutely love that move — a deep threat receiver to pair with their already explosive offense. And I should mention, my mom back home — huge Glasgow Tigers fan — has already texted me five times asking about the Tigers’ second-round pick. But personally? I’m still thrilled with what my Blue Crabs did tonight. Mike Reynolds: We’ll get to Baltimore in a second, Kayla. Chad, let’s start at the top of round two. What jumped out at you? Chad Thurman: Honestly, Mike, the defensive depth started showing immediately. The Coconuts grabbing Takeo Itagaki at corner at thirty-eight — that’s a guy who can cover half the field by himself. Then you look at Branko Ukhurlian to the Terrifying Hamsters at forty-five — powerful interior lineman. And the Exiles doubling down with Tawfiq Abolhassan in the late second… that tells me teams are preparing for more aggressive, faster offenses. Shelton Oh: Which is exactly what I like to hear, Chad. Because the offensive talent in these first two rounds is ridiculous. I mean look at the receivers alone: Harvey Brewster to the Seals, Hassan Mazin to the Raptors, Rolf Lowell to your Silver Foxes actually — nice pickup by the way — and then Joseph Ulrich and Evaristo Navarro later on. These guys can stretch the field. Mike Reynolds: Kayla, since you mentioned the Blue Crabs earlier — Baltimore took offensive lineman Feliu Ibern at forty-two. Social media reaction? Kayla Moreno: Overwhelmingly positive. Blue Crabs fans love the idea of protecting their quarterback first. And after yesterday’s pick of Nabaraj Lama on the defensive line in round one, people feel like Baltimore is building from the trenches out. Balanced team building — it’s very popular online tonight. Mike Reynolds: Meanwhile the hometown Bungals followed up their first-round linebacker Ruslan Gapparov with offensive lineman Bassam Hassan in round two. Shelton Oh: That’s smart drafting. You stabilize both sides of the ball early. Mike Reynolds: But not every team in the league is getting praise tonight. Kayla Moreno: Oh boy, here we go. Mike Reynolds: Let’s talk about the Hamburg Sea Lions. Shelton Oh: Yeah… we probably should. Mike Reynolds: First round they took Matana Dau, an offensive lineman. In round two, tight end Eliseo Espuch. Chad, your reaction? Chad Thurman: Look… when you draft that late — pick twenty-nine in the first round — you’re effectively a single-digit-pick team in terms of talent access. You have to think differently. You need upside. You need explosive players. Instead they played it extremely safe. Kayla Moreno: Social media is not impressed either. Shelton Oh: I’ll say it plainly: the Sea Lions drafted like a team afraid of risk. Meanwhile my guys in Seattle — the Sea-Reapers — executed almost a perfect strategy. Mike Reynolds: Ivory Wolf at linebacker in the first round, then fullback Abiona Bankole in the second. Shelton Oh: Exactly. Wolf is a sideline-to-sideline defender who will start immediately. And Bankole? Old-school fullback but incredibly versatile. Block, catch, short yardage runs. Those picks create identity. Chad Thurman: I agree. Seattle understood their roster gaps perfectly. If the Sea Lions keep drafting this cautiously, the Sea-Reapers will pass them in the standings long term. Honestly, it might not even take that long. Mike Reynolds: Let’s shift to a few other teams quickly. The Gaylord Spartans. Kayla Moreno: Interesting pair of picks: Niels Poulsen at fullback yesterday and Grover Vávra at quarterback today. Shelton Oh: That’s a throwback offense waiting to happen. Heavy formations, ball control, play-action. Chad Thurman: And defensively they didn’t invest early, which could be risky. Mike Reynolds: Yorkshire Sea-Owls? Chad Thurman: Quarterback Hussein Sharif in round one and safety Witsanunat Panyarachun in round two. Balanced, sensible. Nothing flashy, but stable. Kayla Moreno: Fans seem satisfied — not ecstatic, but calm. Mike Reynolds: Michipicoten Corsairs made perhaps the most surprising pick of round one — a kicker, Donn Reed. Shelton Oh: Yeah, that raised eyebrows. Mike Reynolds: But they followed with tight end Efe Shahriar today. Chad Thurman: Which helps. Still unusual strategy though. Mike Reynolds: And the Wrexham Exiles? Chad Thurman: Double defensive line: Néstor Garrido and Tawfiq Abolhassan. They want pressure. Lots of it. Mike Reynolds: Alright, let’s zoom out for a moment. Two rounds complete — sixty-four players entering the league. Shelton, how does this offensive talent reshape the league? Shelton Oh: Mike, we’re about to see faster football. Look at the quarterbacks taken: Graham Box, Arnbjörn Papenfuss, Hussein Sharif, Abelard Michalczewski, Grover Vávra, Eun-A Hyeon. That’s a lot of young arms. Pair them with receivers like Logan Russell, Emmanuel McBride, Keenan Lammie, Harvey Brewster — and defenses will have to stretch. Kayla Moreno: Fans love that idea. Shelton Oh: Expect more spread formations, quicker passing games, and explosive deep shots. The league is evolving. Mike Reynolds: Chad, from the defensive perspective? Chad Thurman: The counterbalance is speed. Corners dominated round one: Ugnius Vasiliauskas, Álvaro Palacios, Ghanshyam Sehgal, Aladdin Ayasha, Courtney Beck. Teams are loading up on coverage specialists because they know the passing game is coming. Add linebackers like Viliame Erenio, Ruslan Gapparov, and Ivory Wolf, and defenses will become more hybrid — linebackers who cover like safeties. Mike Reynolds: So the Sea Devils League is heading toward a faster, more vertical style of football. Shelton Oh: Absolutely. Chad Thurman: Without question. Mike Reynolds: Before we close tonight’s show, quick recap of the first two rounds overall. Falcons and Chargers aggressively targeted defense early. Baltimore balanced trenches and pass rush. Seattle executed what many analysts call the most coherent strategy of the draft so far. Meanwhile Hamburg’s conservative picks have left the studio… well… a bit disappointed. Kayla Moreno: Very disappointed. Shelton Oh: I’ll just say: Seattle fans should be smiling tonight. Mike Reynolds: And tomorrow we technically have round three — though it won’t be broadcast. Kayla Moreno: Because let’s be honest… that’s where most teams start picking for the trash can. Mike Reynolds: Exactly. The third round will take place virtually online while the Sea Devils circus packs up and heads to Canton, Ohio. That’s where tomorrow’s Sea Devils Hall of Fame Game takes place — the Sunrise City Prairie Dogs versus the Konjarnik HighTowers. Shelton Oh: That should be fun though. Mike Reynolds: Chad, final thoughts tonight? Chad Thurman: From a defensive standpoint, I love what I see. Fast linebackers, athletic corners, powerful linemen. These first two rounds stocked the league with defensive talent that can handle the offensive explosion we expect. Shelton Oh: And from the offensive side — wow. Quarterbacks, receivers, versatile backs. Fans should prepare for highlight plays every weekend. Kayla Moreno: Also, quick note for my mom watching back home — the Glasgow Tigers grabbing Logan Russell yesterday and Nuri Isa today? She’s very happy. Mike Reynolds: And finally, Chad, I know there’s one more thing you’re excited about. Chad Thurman: Oh absolutely. The S65 Draft next season will be hosted in St. Clouds — home of my Minnesota Silver Foxes. I can’t wait to welcome the entire league there. Mike Reynolds: We’ll all be looking forward to that. From Cincinnati, Ohio — home of the Bungals — thank you for joining us for the Sea Devils League S64 Draft coverage. Round two is complete, the future of the league is arriving, and the road to Canton begins tonight. Good night everyone. |

I like it that, when the Glasgow Tigers in the first round pick a WR and an OL in the second, it’s lovable, but when the SEA LIONS do it (granted: the other way around), it’s eye-brow-raising
The bias is pretty strong in this commentary group, it seems… |

These are just individual opinions from people on television. Perhaps draft grades will be released tomorrow, and then we'll know the "truth".
