I get annoyed at the fact everyone's referring to it as Game of Thrones.
The series is A Song of Fire and Ice. It'd be like if everyone said, "Oh yeah I'm a New Hope fan" re: Star Wars. 
I am loving Patrick Rothfuss + Robin Hobb's stuff though, for non-ruined fantasy stuff.  |

I suppose here is where I fill in the blanks about who I am to everyone:
I'm a 17 year old JROTC cadet living in Anchorage, Alaska. I played football for two years, and I enjoy games like this in my leisure. I also post constantly on 4chan, and have been, since I was 12. I'm not proud or ashamed of it, I just figure it explains a lot these days. My favorite football team is the Houston Texans because one of their draft picks from 2013 was Brennan Williams, who happened to be an otaku and fellow anon. Many of us started bandwagoning the Texans for this reason. Other than that, I just like playing this game because it's easy in regards to the amount of time it takes. It's at my leisure. Funny to see the connections posted on this thread. I am 49, an original series Star Trek fan (Landru), love Tolkein, played Dungeons and Dragons and high school football in Texas at the same time (irony), Big Bang Theory fan, and a long time student of the strategy and tactics of AF. Been a Raiders fan since I watched George Blanda, Kenny Stabler, Cliff Branch and all the Greats from the 70's. Hope Reggie brings Back the Silver and Black.

I used to work on Bill King's boat (Varuna) when I was a lad and he was still broadcasting Warriors games. Was a Raider fan until they left for LA and Bill (RIP) passed. Small world isn't it? Hi there!
Don William = Willi is my first name in real life, i am 40 years old, lawyer and MBA, soon moving to Dortmund, germany. Specialised on right of banking/investments. Sounds like a lot of money, but in fact i am as poor as everyone else... 
Not married, no kids, but i will have to change that in the near future or my kids will call me grandpa some day. Big fan of the packers as everyone can see. I always loved American Football, although none of my friends does so in the slightest way. |

I'm betting there's going to be a bit more of a delay on Book 3, as Rothfuss sold the rights back in October for movies, a TV series and video game series all to Lion's Gate. And he retained creative input / veto on them all - so his time just got stretched even thinner, ala George RR Martin. The better angle of that news however - it means FOX won't be ruining it.
They had the original rights to the TV show and took sort of a "meh" approach to it. I think they were far more likely to go the Firefly (FOX) / Deadwood (HBO) route with it, and decide doing it proper - would be too costly in terms of production. Seems like Lion's Gate is looking at it more like what it is ... the second best selling (per book) series after SoF&I, and will give it a much better chance to become a massive franchise. 
The producer for the movie has already been tapped - Robert Lawrence (Die Hard 3, Clueless, The Last Castle) ... apparently a big fan of the book series, but he's never touched anything fantasy/sci-fi before - I hope whatever director they pull in has. |

So time to Introduce myself. Im Krytical, a 33 Years old german Footballaddicted.
I play Madden since 92 and start to understand the Rules with Madden 2000 
The worst thing in my Fan-Life to get a Team to support in the NFL. I just loved Football and loved the Players. In the NCAA i root for the Florida Gators. Im on the the Guys that still support Tim Tebow  And yes i liked the way how Johnny Manziel play.
I finaly get a Team this Year because the Rams relocate back to LA. Funny Thing is in Madden , i did the same. I used a bad Team like the Jaguars and relocate them and rebuild the Roster. One of my alltrime fav TV Series are Friday Night Lights (never watched the Movie).
