It getting hot under some coaches seats, so hot that this weekend Jim McElwain did decide to leave Florida, based on his lacking success and the accusation he did regarding death-threats, which he was not able to proof.
It might lead to a reduced or voided buyout for McElwain, thanks to his accusations.
It seems the teams did put so high buyouts in their last few coaching hiring, that they look for every bit of stuff to reduce or lose the buyout, if the teams do not get the success on the field.

So Florida will play under a interim coach.
And that will not be the last team, this season.
There are rumors that half of the SEC will look for a new coach at the end of the season.

Still, thanks to this weeks results are 2 SEC teams on spot 1 and 2 in the polls.
It looks like Georgia did have a good hand in hiring Kirby Smart as successor for Mark Richt.

This are the 3 games I selected as BLOCK OF GRANITE TOP 3 GAMES FOR WEEK 9

#2 Penn State @ #6 Ohio State
A monster game.
Hyped?
Sure.
Exciting?
Yes!
Penn State lead at the half, but Ohio State began their comeback in the 2nd half and was able to win the game in the last few minutes by a point.
This did shake up the BIG10 and the playoffs.
But it's not over for Penn State and Ohio State is not in the title game.
The next 4 games are crucial and both teams will have to give their best.
Penn State 38 - Ohio State 39 -> Jacks TOP 3 GAMES Score: 18-10

#4 TCU @ #25 Iowa State
Bam. The next unbeaten BIG12 team is gone.
The last unbeaten BIG12 team in fact.
TCU did lose the ball too often and was only able to score by special teams.
Iowa State looks very promising.
I doubt they can survive the whole season to win the conference, but they will be a force next season.
TCU 7 - Iowa State 14 -> Jacks TOP 3 GAMES Score: 19-10

#14 NC State @ #9 Notre Dame
The Irish-for-playoffs-bandwagon is rolling and they will have some quality games left to get into the top 4 spots.
NC State was not able to score, while the Irish were able to score a lot.
I'm still not convinced the Irish will really get a spot, but the next few games will show, which conference might fall from grace.
Because, if the Irish get a spot, 2 power 5 conferences teams will stay outside.
Will this be a PAC12 team, a BIG12 team, or a ACC team?
Right now it looks like the SEC and the BIG10 are almost set.
NC State 14 - Notre Dame 35 -> Jacks TOP 3 GAMES Score: 20-10

Other interesting games:

#11 Oklahoma State @ West Virginia
A score friendly game and at the end did Oklahoma State win big enough to stay on track for a conference title.
West Virginia is now in the mid field of the BIG12, but they seem to lack the last inch to play for the conference title since they joined the conference.
But it looks like every team can win against the other team inside the BIG12 and that might doom the conference regarding playoffs.
It will be interesting to see, what the conference will do in the long term.
I think they need more quality non-conference games to show they can win against the best.
Jacks interesting games Score: 16-10

Georgia Tech @ #7 Clemson
GT hat no chance against the very good defense of the Tigers.
The Tigers are still on the run to win the division and they have to beat NC State to secure that.
Right now it looks good for them, but we will see.
GT dropped out of the division race and will play for a bowl spot.
Jacks interesting games Score: 17-10

Sat, Oct. 28
#21 USC @ Arizona State
OK, USC did play themselves back into the PAC12 South favorite and will have to beat Arizona next week.
Arizona State can still play spoiler for a lot of teams.
Jacks interesting games Score: 17-11

Most stunning results of week 9:
Boston College destroyed Florida State 35-3. How FSU could play so bad is a mystery for me.
Northwestern won against Michigan State 39-31 in 3OT. Spartans do now have to win all remaining games to win the division.
Houston overcame South Florida 28-24.
Wake Forest did beat Louisville 42-32. I'm sure Lamar Jackson will not get the Heisman this year.
Pittsburgh won against Virginia 31-14. A setback for the rebuilding of the Cavaliers.
Arizona overrun the Washington State Cougars 58-37. The Wildcats could win the PAC12 South, who have thought that?
