Which prevents the abuse you're talking about... Nobody's going to bet on a Bot team to win. |

sorry hosh I miss that part about the match of bid
But I think that a pool/pot system would cause high amount of bidding. Allow all who wish to join the pool at the price the feel comfortable losing. And useing s e l e c t games would focus bets on few games maximize effect for people bids and should make it easier to code pay out since it only has to look at 10-32 games instead of 100+ but that regardless of which system we use. Just came from the thread on Super Cup where there was speculation that people were taking over bot teams prior to Super Cup matches, reducing the PD for the other opponent, then abandoning the team immediately. If there is anyone willing to game the system(and there always is a crappy minority), I would rather not add elements to the game that would increase the possibility of this. Gambling always throws results of sporting events into question. (And I love a little side bet in real life, so this is not me being a prude) |
