Is there any chance we could have no OOP for defensive backs other than the 2 starting (depth chart 1 & 2) CBs and 2 starting SFs?
For many NFL teams the DBs after the starters are are mix of who plays as nickelback or dimeback etc could be CBs or SFs just depends on who are the best players for the type of coverage. In fact in many teams the nickelback is often a CB but here in RZA the 3-3-5 nickelback is always a safety. So basically any formation other than those with 3 or 4 DBs there would be no OOP on the extra DBs. A bit more flexibility to reflect RL would be good. Not sure sure how easy this would be in terms of engine changes but worth consideration. In the NFL many teams now the starting line up is 3 WRs with the 3rd guy in the slot and the nickleback covering him in man2man. We really need 3 WR formations in RZA too. I get your crosslink to real life...but in RZA we added the OOP-Penalty because of managers were abusing the DC, and only few 11 monsters, rotating them inside the defense...if we remove this limitation - the OOP is nothing else - we would encourage managers to "exploit" the DC again, I am wrong?

Okay Pete understood but OLB are different from ILB, and DE are different from NT/DT both in RL and RZA but here there is no OOP for them ......
No suggestion to remove OOP across all 11 defenders. If the 4 DB starting spots on the DC are OOP then there is no rotation of monsters between starting SF and CB. Maybe something to look at when the formations are updated to include 3 WR? Last edited on 2014-05-18 14:55:15 by oneknee |

maybe we can have it as an additional position on the DC screen and only have CB's and SF's able to play there without penalty?
