Since I was so successful in predicting last weeks game ( 1-3
) this week I'm not going to predict but rather hope.
I hope Cincinnati wins, I like Joe Burrow (Classic pocket passer) & don't really enjoy the school yard style of K.C.. Who Dey ! I like the 49ers gritty grind it out style & I've liked Jimmy GQ since his Patriot days. But 7 in a row ? Go Niners ! A note heard on sports radio. It seems the 49ers are called for defensive pass interference more than most all other teams. The referee working the 49ers game has called pass interference on the defense most of all referees working the league. Maybe something to watch for ? Last edited on 2022-01-30 19:40:06 by 4 Aces |

I admit the Niners did play better than I anticipated.
At the end the Rams Defense did their job to secure the win. The Rams will need to get rid of that good-phase-bad-phase-habbit to win against the Bengals. And I can't believe the Chiefs did lose that game. They had it all, almost done, and then they started playing bad ... Well, at the end I don't care too much for both teams, so let them play. |

I would prefer the Bengals win, as they have no titles. As mentioned in another post, no title teams are always in my list of teams to win.
But, if the Rams win (in their own stadium, it would be the second time ever after the Bucs!! Even if officially the Rams are the visiting team due to the switch they have every year) I won't be sad either. And since 2-3 years ago I somehow have started liking the Lions, so it would be nice to see Stafford get a super bowl... that would match Rodgers, Russell Wilson and, yes, Drew Brees in Super Bowl rings. So, I'm surely going to enjoy the super bowl, probably rooting for both teams. Hey, I already did that, root for both teams, last season in the NFC conference final (Bucs @ Packers) |

Good call so far. I doubted Stafford could do it. He has impressed me in these playoffs, despite McVay's time management and playcalling sure he's gonna chuck a interception per game but the defense has stepped up too McVay can design plays but getting them in on time has been an ongoing problem. Like I say, they could get called for delay of game three or four times per game. I used to think it was Goff. Go Rams 29-20 |

I don't understand why the Bengals TD with the receiver pulling the CB away by the face mask did count. Sure, on the field this might be overlooked, but in slow mo you can see it totally and wasn't replay exactly for that?
Halftime show did look again as always, boiled down for mass taste with no real feeling in it. This year with mostly not-my-taste-music, but that's just a side effect. Maybe IN the stadium it's fun, but it seems those formats just don't work. Big stage, visitors far away and round them just empty nothing is not the best. Overall I was surprised Rams had so many problems, but OK, if you get points for violations, then you stay in the game of course. |

I did enjoy the game. Very happy for Stafford. Donaldson at last gets that ring! (Best defender of the decade, probably)
Halftime show, for me the best or at least one of the best ones ever was Prince's. This time it was OK (it has been so bad recently). I'm not a real rap fan, but this show made me realize I did enjoy the old songs (so the ones by Dr Dre and Coolio at the beginning). But for example NBA guys Hardem and Lebron James don't agree with me ("Best ever"!) ehem... Note: reading more tweets about the show, it has been liked a lot, it seems. But I would sign this part of a tweet by a sports reporter (I think): "Nothing will top Prince in rain in Miami. But that was nice." Found it quite interesting how until the last drive with Kapp, Stafford's production had dipped so much when his #2 WR got injured. I hope the Bengals draft/buy a great OL! Otherwise a could be great career, Burrow's, will be shorter. |
