Good Morning from a not so sunny Barnsley - weve been forecast a heat wave over the weekend though, so just waiting for it to kick in so i can either lay in the garden or bake myself on the golf course :
The Eagles Season 52 is off to a ropey start, with some very disappointing results. It began with a 33:31 defeat to Melittlemenonthepitchhitchin in our last friendly of pre-season. It was followed by a expected 45:28 loss to BobBoy Magpies in the Super Cup. Furhter to that defeat the HighTowers put the hurting on us in a comprehensive 45:24 hammering in the League. The defence has shipped ALOT of points. We sold two of our aging stars at Linebacker over the 'season break' and our defence hasn't quite adjusted. In other sports strategy games i play (so basically Football Manager 23) ive always ran the philosophy of moving older stars on while they still have some transfer value. On this occasion it doesn't seem to have worked. Ive noticed the Poruba Jeremies high tailed it out of our Division, whilst once again i stook around. Maybe the Jeremies have had the right idea. Sometimes it isnt 'better the devil you know' This season i will complete some 'AWAY DAYS' in the style i have previously. Our first away day will be this evening from the Super Cup against the Lakfakalle Eagles (USA), where we will take a nice trip to the USA. Unfortunately this is a team that has been around since Season 0 that looks as though it may go BOT very soon, with last login being May 25th. |
