Assuming we're sticking with this thread for this seasons draft.. if not, oh well, I'm using it anyway.

Mark Park (P) (Formerly Jose Maria Diez) Round 1. Yes, punter, we picked a punter in round 1 with pick #25. Only actual "need" on the team. We had no punter, now we do. The kicker is relieved to not be forced into double duty. 50 Strength + Strong Leg trait and 41 Teamwork, likely to be the best punter in team history to date.

Manuel Dukes (DL) (formerly Foluke Okafor) Round 2. 50 STR, 45 Speed. Not a need, and we had plenty of depth, but at pick 57 was one of the best depth options available and his 50 STR along with 44 INT makes us think he has good upside. He is lacking TW, however, so we are looking at probably moving him to OL to become a Tackle. That decision will be discussed by coaching staff in the coming days. Aparently some think he should be a LB, but with 45 speed, I'm not a fan of this move and may veto the attempt.

I saw CB Edgar Guerrero as a good pick for my 2nd round pick since I needed depth at CB, unfortunately the Chargers also thought the same thing.

I did get Natia Natia, but I will have to build his skills up.

Yes! Cummings landed at Exiles - Round 3 (64 picks late but very welcome).

I forgot to set my board for day 3... but there wasn't anyone I think that would have made my team anyways. So we drafted a crap gunner.. he's already been given his pink slip. lol

Thank god the Draft is over. Thanks to the blunder in round 1 everything was derailed and the players we picked, besides the First-Round-Kicker, won’t be any help for at least 4 seasons. I can’t imagine that they are on the team that long, but it depends on how they develop on physicals

The Draft Strategy of the St Pauli Packers

The St Pauli Packers have built a reputation for doing things differently. While many teams rely on very early draft selections to secure elite talent, the Packers rarely find themselves picking at the very top of the order. Year after year, their consistent competitiveness keeps them away from the earliest opportunities in the draft.

Instead of depending on premium selections, the Packers have become experts at identifying value in the middle rounds. Their scouting department focuses on finding players who may be overlooked by others but possess the traits needed to succeed in their system. This approach has allowed the team to remain competitive without relying on the kind of high-profile prospects that usually dominate headlines.

Because of this long-term pattern, the Packers have turned necessity into strength. They have refined their ability to evaluate potential, develop talent, and build a balanced roster from the middle of the draft. The result is a team-building philosophy that emphasizes patience, coaching, and careful scouting.

In many ways, the St Pauli Packers prove that success in the draft does not depend on picking first. It depends on picking wisely.

The draft, in my opinion is stacked this year with talent. There is something for everyone, and of course as previously mentioned, there is a bonafide future hall of famer in this seasons draft. I hope he goes to a deserving team and not one that goes BOT sometime soon.

there is more talent than usual, I agree. Just did my draft order. By the time it will be my turn, all the really great ones will be gone. Hoping from some uncapped, rough diamonds...
