[e.g. I might bid on one or more of those guys (or other ones that being rid of would REALLY help your finances, if you should put them up for sale), but no, I'd not do it by agreeing to artificially inflate any prices. And also, for advertising TL-listed players, there's the TM forum]

yeah when you word it like that man you have painted it too sound shitty and its hard to disagree with your principles, the last thing i wanna do is get myself bad reputation.
heres my take on it and where i feel partially responsible i approached angeles lions about his 3 players need a corner for my first team squad and the academy products have a lot of potential, was prepared to offer 4.5 million for these 3 players ,angeles agreed and as we couldnt see anyway to buy players without putting them transfer list.angeles lions could only put them on for low amounts i bid what i said i was going too but of course it only takes the minimum amount.i feel shitty now as im looking like im getting 3 good players for face value,so when i asked you guys to bid against me thats the reason.for future sales now i know this is how it happens will know better moving forward but i dont want angeles lions to shit out because we didnt understand transfer bids properly.
and the bottom line is integrity is important to me i play alot of online games and cant stand cheaters,so dont wanna get tarred with that brush in this league and dont want angeles lions to think ive had him over.think main thing is next time mind my own business dont try and help out.

... really?

Anyway:
I get that your motivation wasn't to try to cheat, so I'm sorry to have phrased it in quite that accusatory of a way.
Point stands though, still think agreeing beforehand on a higher price isn't okay, and the fact that the game didn't allow it could have told you something.

As for bidding war: Who knows, that might still happen (for my part: still mulling it over as I said, or someone else gets in there).
But let it be an organic one (or lack thereof).

Either way, still seems to me that getting a few million in one-off fees will be a drop in the ocean unless he gets rid of some big earners.
Could be he sheds some young talent now and then still has to cut the topheavy part of the roster come postseason at the latest.
But of course that's from the outside looking in, so who knows.

That said:
@scott, I also sincerely hope you can right yourself

Also, with the taxes, the amount he'll get back from the auctions isn't exactly a ton anyways. So saving money is absolutely the best thing to do by trimming roster. Couple that with selling a few of the high cost players would likely bring in more net income than the 3 mid level players. He won't have to go into full rebuild to be competitive enough to win games and make sponsor money, while still reducing his roster payroll.

I'm at my highest payroll ever, and still significantly less than most and think my team is pretty competitive. Just have to develop properly and be willing to let go of the guys that get too expensive. Also, it seems many tend to train unbalanced and drive up the cost of their players. I've done this and still do unfortunately, but have gotten better at it. I did just dip over the 3m salary with a few recent contract extensions, but I plan to drop that in the offseason as I let a few of the higher earners walk.

Also something to consider:

For the players you're gonna keep - sign them very late in the season, they are more willing to accept lower salaries at that point.

hey guys, have sold a few of my best players including QB. He offered me the deal and I jumped ay it. He would get he needed and I would get a chunk of cash to help with the debt I have. Which I would do in real life too in this situation. Not trying to cheat, just get the finances better. I have three 4.5* guys left but won't be able to sell them pretty sure as they are in their 30's. Put the one in his 20's on the market. Having only 46 players now have to be aware of the minimums per position.

Even with the struggles still having a great time.....trying to pull a qB who is 19 to get him on the roster. Already have minimum academy. Being relatively new last season, didn't grasp the finances properly.

Depended on the amount of money you are in the red, I suggest to cut the coaches.

You have to pay 5 times their wage as penality, but once you cut them, you save 1.4 million per u p d a t e and on the 6th u p d a t e you are regarding the coaches invest in the plus.

Overall your wages, players and coaches, is quite high. Selling players, hopefully the exensive ones, will reduce that instantly, but please be aware, that you might not be able to sell some of them.
