Today was the wild card round where we had the following games with their results:
Game 1 Kreosovi Panteři @ Pink Panthers 10:20 Panteri went with one formation for this game and maybe in the end that is what did them in? Both teams scored in the first half with the Panthers holding a 17-10 lead. Alas Panteri couldn't muster any more points in the second half, although they did limit the Panthers to a meager 3 more points. The Panthers dominated when in the shotgun formation in this match. Up Next: Pink Panthers @ Mystic Warriors My prediction is: Mind you it could go either way but I'm taking the Panthers in this one. Both teams are in the top 5 for rush offense and rush defense whereas the Panthers are much better in the passing game. Game 2 Molalla Indians @ Golddiggers 21:14 Bot vs Bot so who cares? Up next? A cake walk for Malakas Bull and their top defense. Yawn. My prediction: Duh, a bunch of Bull here. Game 3 Niners 4 Eva @ Mad Rabbitohs 13:7 This tight game was tight because of poor planning by both coaches (me being one!) I left the wrong defense in the game plan and the Mad Rabbits have their team going for it on every 4th down. My biggest gameplan blunder was not having a play set for a game winning field goal where my team continued to run another play with time running down in regulation and the score tied 7-7. Mad Rabbits won the coin toss and promptly went for it on 4th down deep in their own territory. Niners get a touchdown, game over. Up Next: Niners 4 Eva @ Wasps Vigevano My prediction: Wasps looked unbeatable in the regular season until they lost 2 of the final 3 games to now playoff teams. I like my chances and what kind of coach would I be if I didn't believe in my own players? I'm taking the Niners in this one. That would set up a potential rematch with Horada who lost a last second game to me in the regular season finale 0-7. BTW, Wasps, could ya help me out with the stadium? Come on man, game at your stadium with 6,500 seats? Damn. Game 4 St. Louis Archers @ Carpathian Soldiers 66:7 An absolute butt whooping. Enough said. No, that is not a bot team the Archers played. Up Next: St. Louis Archers @ Horadada Blues Prediction: Horada beat the Archers at the Archers 17-14 earlier in the season. Another close game I'm sure, but until they beat them I have to take Horada. |

Horada vs Niners in the NC
This will be the third matchup in this series this season. Horada pummeled me early in the season and I squeaked out a win to get into the playoffs against them 7-0 in the final seconds. TBH, I used MOTY so I don't expect a repeat here. Looks to be Horada representing the NC this season. Panthers vs Malakas in the AC These two teams played midway through the season with Malakas winning 17-10 at home despite a furious comeback by the panthers in that game. With the game at Malakas again I would expect the same win loss outcome. |
