I'm surprised there is not already a Cowboys thread here.
Lots has happened since last season. They changed over from the 3-4 to the 4-3, despite their entire defensive staff being geared for the 3-4. Hired old school D-Coordinator Monte Kiffin, and new O-Coordinator Bill Callahan, with Garrett no longer calling plays (supposedly). Unfortunately he is still in charge of the timeouts. With all of that, the Boys are off to to a mediocre 2-2 start. And with the best team in football coming to face them this week in Big D, panic and blame is starting to circulate in the local media. Everyone is expecting a massacre, and they are just dying to blame it on Romo before it even happens. I had season tickets for the Cowboys back in 2006 when a struggling Cowboys team faced off against a 9-0 Indianapolis Colts led by he who shall not be named. It was a very similar situation, and the Cowboys pulled out the win with sheer determination. They play their best football when nobody expects them to win, and when they get bashed by the media all week. I think people are in for a closer game than they expect. I anticipate big points on both sides, and for this to be the game of the week. And hopefully the Boys surprise everyone and walk away 3-2! |

Oh, them winning against the Broncs. If the Boys secondary puts down their purses and start playing fundamental football + Murray having a big game than we have a chance. But If I was a betting man, Id bet against that happening.

I didn't say they were going to win. I said I think it will be closer than people expect. They are not going to fix their defensive woes in one week, but I think they have big time misdirected talent and Monte Kiffin is living in the 50s. His crunch time defensive calls are a base cover 2 and it's just getting chewed up underneath weekly.
They are going to blitz the hell out of Manning this week. Whether or not they can disguise it enough to actually have an impact will be the question. And the other wildcard is if the offense can find some life again. We're going to need at least 30 points to win. |

But I want Murray to get a TD as he's in my ESPN fantasy team. Being an Eagles fan, I want to see Denver deal out the same punishment as we received, and they probably will, only without the special teams disasters! Broncos to win by 24+.....41-14 sounds about right. |

That's about the score that everyone is expecting.
But the Denver D won't hold Dallas to 14. Murray will get some carries until the Boys abandon the run when they get down by 2 scores. Then he gets all the garbage when Romo checks down so he'll do fine even if they're losing big. |
