Any need for it? Each team is really a new team isn't it? Kinda irritates me seeing that my current team has won things before... When really it wasn't the same team? Like to think of it as a new franchise rather than a rebranding exercise.

I agree with you, but I know Pete will be against the suggestion. I don't feel like my team has any ties with any of the previous owner's teams and their stats shouldn't be included in my own.

Pete sees it as a rebranding and not a new franchise which is the way you and I do. There was a suggestion thread a few months back which was similar to this but it never got any traction to make a change. Everyone views it differently!

Personally, I don't have a problem with it, although, I don't believe that I have any trophies won by previous owners as part of my team's history.

What I don't like however, is in my team stats, the all-time leader in passing pct. are players who completed one pass 5 seasons before I took over the team. I would like there to be minimums for inclusion in these stats eg. highest pass percentage based on a minimum of 100 passes attempted or something like that.

Agreed on both points - but I don't care what previous owners won especially as the team name has changed so many times.

I support this, because owners change in RZA =/= owner changes in real life football. In RZA there's a new set of players, a new name, possibly a new country, a new stadium, and so many other things that the new guy must start from scratch with. Stats and record are the two things that seem to remain. I'd go so far as to assert that these stats should not appear on the team page, at least, not the bot-owned players.

So I support this idea, let a team be a new slate.

I am happy with just being able to hide the trophies that previous owners have won with "my" team. I think that it would be great though if this was extended to other areas where what previous owners have done comes up - such as with the statistics set by players that have never played for me.

Think that 99% of people in RZA support this - same as having players from defunct teams in your own Hall of Fame.

Unfortunately the boss is part of the other 1%

But when a team is BOT the trophies dont show up?

Seems silly.

And if your team doesnt have any previous trophies then it obvs wont bother you much.

As more and more season pass, the trophy list will continue to grow. Stadiums reset, squads reset, team goes to 3.X yet trophy history remains?

Can only see it ever upsetting newbies, can't see any benefit at all.

When I started the Hall of Fame seemed silly when it was full of other teams' players. Not too bad now that its 90% dominated with my players.

But for new teams, there will be 10 seasons worth of previous teams' stats and counting so will takes ages for them to be overhauled if ever.

Doesn't make sense at all. The previous team went defunct - its a new team, new name, new stadium, new players, new everything with no link to the previous teams.

Spot on.

And as the game gets older, it will take longer and longe for a newbie to have his own players in there.
