Hello,
After reading some posts by veteran managers, studying many game tactics, and applying these tactics myself on a game, whose results I will give links, has made me come to believe that the offense/defense is unbalanced to the point of being able to be taken advantage of. It needs to change. I do not know when Pete gets back but I hope soon.
This is the opponent I faced off:
Human-controlled:

Home of the Shrimp Riders

As you can see this manager averages 52.7% overall, and 55.7% pass defense.
Here's my team:
40.2% passing offense, 42.3 overall:
My Team

Here is The result of our supercup match:

Our Match

I didnt even try to set up my playbook. I just exploited a weakness in the engine.
I just edited my playbook to pass in a 4WR shotgun or 2WR shotgun 80% of the time,
And walah!
I nearly beat an opponent who is much better than me.
If I hadn't exploited, I doubt I would have scored at all.

This one game shouldn't convince you.
What SHOULD convince you is the wide use of the exploit, as well as long-time players talking about quitting if it doesnt get fixed.
I myself am considering quitting if I dont get reassurance this will be fixed soon.
Thank you,
Aquashift

the way i see in that game is not a engine problem but simple lack of respect of a better team running only a 4-3 vs shotgun is asking for trouble

That team runs a 4-3 all the time with all its games. Look at its w/l record against teams human controlled with different offenses.
Like i said one game should not convince anyone. The bulk of the data should, however.
Please read:
post
And subsequent posts in that thread.

I must admit I am a little frustrated you gave this thread such a low rating.
Im not dissing the game - i love this Game!
Its not just me who recognized (and exploits) this game mechanical imbalance.
Please refer to the post link I gave above, and that whole thread really.
There was one other thread where this exploit was being discussed ill try to find it.
The point is vets are saying they might leave and are mad that its not possible to defend against this satisfactorily.
I love the game, just want it rebalanced
Edit: i tried to find and correct all the typos, forgive the ones i missed this is being typed from a smartphone

The vet in that thread was defending against SG4 with the wrong formations/personnel - I've been shut out a few times using SG4. And against the teams that go to the flanks just put your best tacklers at DE. There are things that need to be fixed but I don't think this is one of them.

Re that game, it highlights a few things that need fixing imo.

1) 4-3-4 is not a good formation to use and needs tweaking. It seems to do worse v the pass than 4-4 and worse v the run than 3-4 (from what I've seen, happy to be corrected). Your opponent was higher rated but he was asking for trouble with that D playbook.

2) The WR in the Big I lines up opposite CB2, which is crazy.

How about these games? Still not examples of bad game mechanical?
match 1

match 2
Most of the matches involving that player seem to be imbalanced.
I can give more examples.

If you look at his win/lose record its very good, his d play is nowhereville, but i dont think he was asking for trouble..
Also his percentages were in The 50s, he has been winning human opponents of equal strength with that D play.
My percentages are in The low 40s, i would maybe have scored a field goal or two against him using my own playbook instead of spamming 4 and 2WR shotguns.

you know sometimes the team just doesn't play up to its potential

i could show you this game where i lost. i actually expected to win it pretty comfortably as his playbook isn't hard to read. and especially if you look at his O-Line stats you think he shouldn't have a chance. But i lost because i was not able to take use of all his holes and my team had a day where it did not play great
