This is one of the big questions....some say, Mahmud Abbas is not involved with the Hamas, Fatah only...so why Hamas "has power"? Because of pressure, weapons, intimidation? But if Hamas has no political power, you cannot blame a whole country for the terrible faults Hamas is commiting...You would have to make the political leaders strong, to preserve their power, or even backup it again! But refusing Abbas for talking about the situation is the probably worst move ever...and will lead to more war only...

i think you got it exactly right
hamas not only terrorizes israel, but also the palestinians, controlling them through fear tactics

From Hamas' standpoint they are being terrorized by Israel's military.

As has been said in this thread, and many times before, the extremists on both sides are to blame while the "normal people" suffer.

i think the one thing that we can all agree on, regardless of the actions taken, is that the hamas regime benefits nobody

they are a militant group who will stop at nothing, including the destruction of their own innocent citizens, to kill jews and israelis

i urge somebody to come up with any argument asserting hamas as anything but terrorists
once again this is not the palestinians, only hamas

Just ask people from Palestine and people from Israel what they think.
What would you do ?
What would you choose : war or peace ?

thats part of the problem
both sides right now are overwhelmingly in favor of war

hamas wants blockades lifted, which israel will never do

israel wants to stay in there, destroy the tunnels, and then leave
