I know this is completely unrelated to this game where we all come for a bit of fun but what happened in Paris yesterday deserves a least a little thread.

Freedom of expression will be stronger than hate!

There are some great cartoons in response to yesterday's massacre, I love these responses.

I was shocked yesterday about this bad news. At first I thought of a joke.

But there was none.

This morning I heard on the news that many German newspapers from solidarity today were printed with these caricatures.

Those terrorist will never succeed with their cause, murdering innocent people like this will make all people everywhere stand together against it.
Surely everyone who is tolerant and humanistic will be feeling for the victims and their families. I do.

What really puzzles me is the poor attempt to take advantage, by politicians to fight for more anti privacy, by right-wingers who claim "we told you it would happen, don't trust muslims" and many many more of this bullshit.

It's really sad what happened in Paris and my thoughts are with those affected by this.

Extreme parties will use tragic events like this to further their own cause and the more these extremists do it the more voters they push to these parties further fuelling their hate. We all know that not all Muslims are like this and it's just a few extremists but it appears that the silent majority are irrelevant. If figures are to be believed there are also more Muslims moving to the extremes and it may take generations before this problem is resolved peacefully or forcably.

On another note these extremists believe they are fighting for a legitimate cause or jihad if you will but are they freedom fighters or terrorists?

"If fire fighters fight fires, and crime fighters fight crime ... what do freedom fighters fight?" ~ George Carlin

I can't imagine the case being made that a group of political cartoonists were oppressing anyone's freedom.

Terrible tragedy, let's hope (in vain) that it doesn't fuel the political circus.

A bookstore in my city, they moved out the books from their window and put up some signs:

Translation for the signs in german language: "Without freedeom of speech we won't sell any books here", "Reading will endanger stupidity", "Democracy is more than ONE book", "Freedom of speech is plurality", "Books create tolerance".

I bought a book there today and thanked them for their action. In my opinion a great way to answer those terrorists that should be copied in some way, no matter how, as often as possible.

The terrorist attacks and crimes that happened in France last days have nothing to do with free speech or liberty of expression (or free press).

Regret Publishing Erroneous Article
Here's an example of free speech related to these days :
January 8, 2015 22:45
Freedom of speech

And here's the "erroneous article" that was previously published on
January 8, 2015 13:35
"erroneous article"

I guess freedom fighters know how to fight for the right to know the truth about free speech, and much more...

Well, i disagree.

Killing Journalists and trying to wipe out a whole satiric magazine is a brutal attack against the free press and against freedom of speech in my opinion.
