I agree with Johnny, this s26 we did not invest anything in Mediacenter.
And we saved to be able to invest 50 million in the s27 or s28.

Can we do a specific survey for dragons 1.1?

In theory we only need 50% of the mangers (Including bots) for the mediacenter to make a profit. So if everyone tries to set cash a side we should make it no problem.

Oh crap! Hang on! This earlybird payback thing might mean we only need 25%, $400m, to break even! Can someone double check for me if this is correct? We could do that easy!

Sadly i think its the other way around - if you dont commit early (before the first update) you miss out on the earlybird bonus and then the % would be different than the examples.

Have a look at the graph:

Source: https://redzoneaction.org/football/images/media/fdcddcbb2864db132641a778a8dba0a8.PNG

The red is if you commit before the first u p d a t e and the % is reached immediately
The blue is if you commit before the second u p d a t e and the % is reached immediately

quite confusing math - but the botttom line is if we dont commit early (before the first or second update) or we dont commit enough early we will make a loss

What do you mean the other way round? The graph shows that with 24 updates, the red line, 100% pledge return happens when 25% of pledge goal is achieved.

From what I understand, here it is :

You pledge X amount. Your league has pledged Y% of the pledge goal.

Each RZA week, you get a return based on numbers X and Y.

The thing is, the return doesn't care about when ( Week 1 or week 15 for example) you have committed your pledge.

So, if your league has pledgeg enough money to allow each manager to earn ~120% of his pledge (based on Mediacenter's graph), if you have pledged too late, you still lose money.

SO the only point of the mediacenter is : Invest heavily & early in the season.

Just check : Games -> League and look at Mediacenter's % of team with a handful of bots, such as Dragons 2.1 & 2.2 (sadly, they have many bots :thumbdown : we are still at preseason of S26, but their mediacenter already are at 78% & 72% respectively.

So they are 100% sure to gain money thanks to the mediacenter.

I don't get how, we, as human managers, couldn't commit some money all together just to... earn some money & get better.

Sorry, had a lot of work recently, I didn't go to dragons section earlier to see such a thread was existing

Ok, so I looked at the examples and the graph again and it seem that 25% is pretty much break even... So i may not be a such a bad idea to just put the money in... It will quite likely go up once we get near 50%

Ok, so thanks to the addition of the earlybird payment we can at least break even if we get $400m, there was $600m in the e-mail responses and a couple of people have pledged already!
So what's everyone's plans? We need to decide before the next training update!
