I was going to wait until after the next games but the outcomes wouldn't knock anyone down or up that much. If after the next game there are some upsets then I will change this accordingly.
NC Power Ranking In parentheses the numbers are the league rankings for those teams. (Pass Offense Rank, Rush Offense Rank, Pass Def Rank, Rush Def Rank) Championship Level 7-0 Red Bull overall rating 67.3% (4,4,5,3) Wins VS Teams with winning records: Toffee, Cheshire, Owls, Sakeo 6-1 St. Pauli overall rating 71.7% ( 3,8,26,19) Wins VS Teams with winning records: Turigtians, Minglewood 5-1 Budapest overall rating 62.8% (8,2,16,5) Wins VS Teams with winning records: St. Pauli 6-0 Blackmanes overall rating 60% (31,3,2,4) Wins VS Teams with winning records: Minglewood. Contending For Playoff Spot 4-3 Cheshire Overall Team Rating 50.9% (2,23,7,16) 4-2 Sakeo Overal Team Rating 50.4% (22,5,8,13) 4-2 Mirmidones Overall Team Rating 49.7% (24,19,10,20) 3-4 NE Overall Team Rating 61.3% (9,10,31,23) 3-3 Owls Overall Team Rating 51.2% (23,11,17,12). This is a crowded group where only 2 will most likely make it. NE has the strongest team but has lost 3 in a row. My pick is either Cheshire or NE win the division. NE could also be in the wildcard talk if Sakeo or Mirmidones stumble. They both have tough schedules left whereas NE has only 3 tough games left. The NC west will be one of the wild cards (in my opinion). Both the East and the North have a 4-2 team. It kind of feels like whoever wins the division out of NE, Cheshire, and Owls is the only representative for that division. Plenty of games left yet though. Building For The Future Either because they are new or had bad luck these teams are working for the next season: American Eagles ( won a couple of games against winning teams) Mexico Joine 11/12 Colorado Joined 11/09 Dallas Joined 11/13 Virginia Tech hasn't been on in 10 days. Miami Tigers Took over right after season started and has been competitive but not quite enough for the wins. Jovan is just like Miami above. Bot None |

Very interesting round of games.....
First up... Cheshire 24 VS Owls 21 An even game back and forth with Cheshire tossing a TD with 3 and a half minutes left to take the final lead. Cheshires big victory is keeping the TO's down. This was a big win for Cheshire as it gave them a game lead on NE instead of dropping down to a tie. Convicts Destroy France I had France in the group for competing for a playoff spot in the rankings but this loss kind of knocks them out of that consideration. Convicts won because of the big play. They intercepted France 5 times for long TD's and also threw for 2 super long touchdown passes. This outcome was a little surprising. Godesberg 26 VS Vikings 17. Upset victory here. I know I said to not sleep on Godesberg in the recent rankings and they were in the playoff talk but I didn't see this coming! Goesberg has had a very tough schedule so far. This wasn't a turnover induced victory. Only one turnover the entire game for both teams combined! I do have a question for Godesberg and their playbook. With 8 minutes go to in the game and it a one score lead, is going for it on 4th and 10 at your own 28 what you wanted? That lead to a Viking TD which made is close until your last score. Mirmidones 22 VS Blackmanes 13 An unbeaten has fallen! Only two teams remain unbeaten (Red Bull in NC and SF in AC). This was a field goal battle with Blackmanes leading 13-9 after 3 quarters. In the fourth quarter Mirmidones kicked a field goal to be within 1 point. Then with 5 minutes go to in the game the only turnover of the game happens when Mirmidones has a 31 yard interception return for a touchdown. On the next Blackmanes possession they had 3rd and 4 on the Mirmidones 43 yard line. They fumbled the ball but recovered it. I kind of count that as a turnover in that it stopped their drive at a critical point. Redbull VS Miami Dolphins Thought this was going to be a good game but Red Bulls dominated from start to finish. These games altered my thoughts in the power rankings for Godesberg, France, Mirmidones a little but not enough to do a rewrite. |

Hello There!
Haven't posted in a few days. I think there will be less to post as most teams are what they are. Meaning matchups between winning teams is going to be less and less. Each conference has at most 7 teams with winning records. Some divisions are already decided. With that here is the seeding if the playoffs started today: AC: 1. SF 8-0 2. Turigtians 7-1 3. Vikings 6-2 PD 175 4. Miami 6-2 PD 149 5. Minglewood 6-3 6. Balaton 5-3 Toffee is also 5-3 but going bot soon. NC: 1. Red Bull 9-0 2. St. Pauli 7-1 PD 241 3. Budapest 7-1 PD 144 4. Cheshire 5-3 5. Blackmanes 7-1 6. Mirmidones 6-2 Sakeo is 5-3, one game back of Mirmidones with a better PD. Head to Head doesn't apply in playoff seedings in RZA or otherwise Budapest and St. Pauli would be flipped. As for previous games there were a few close ones. Ankh gave Godesberg a run for their money and almost pulled it out. In fact with less than 2 minutes to go Ankh had a 3 point lead. Godesberg got a late field goal to take it to OT. Godesberg got the TD in OT to win 36-30. Keeping them within 1 game of the last playoff spot. Mirmidones barely beat Eagles 34-30. Mimidones needed a 65 yard td and a fumble recovery that got them a TD in the fourth quarter to pull it out. Eagles are for real next season! Blackmanes needed big plays in the 2nd quarter to win it vs Sakeo. Blackmanes had 3 touchdown passes of 55+ yards and an interception return that led to a td. Those 4 scores accounted for about 42% of their total yardage. Games coming up... There are 2 games of note: Budapest VS Mirmidones This is a division game where the first place Wolves 7-1 are facing off against the 6-2 Mirmidones. Mirmidones needs this to keep up with Wolves but also to stay in that final playoff spot. Sakeo is one game back with a better PD. This game will definitely show where Mirmidones stand in their division and whether they are competing for a division title or a wildcard. Cheshire VS NE The last victory NE enjoyed was 5 games ago vs this Cheshire team. NE has had a brutal schedule but at 3-5 and playing against the division leader Cheshire at 5-3 feels like a must win. A win by Cheshire may just bury NE. |

Game Reviews
Balaton 39 Cheshire 17 Story of Cheshire. Only two turnovers but those 2 turnovers were in the first quarter and were returned for TD's. Thrown in the long TD pass by Balaton and they exploded for 20 points in the first quarter. Cheshire didn't score in the second half. NE Squeaked out a win vs Bulls and put both teams at 4-6 and 2 games back of a division or wild card berth. St. Pauli Dominates Mirmidones This outcome wasn't a surprise but the way the game went was. I thought with St. Pauli throwing interceptions at a prolific rate combined with Mirmidones intercepting their opponents with 17 up to that point we would have a lot of turnovers. In the end St. Pauli threw only 1. This game kept St. Pauli with the number 1 seed and dropped Mirmidones 1 game back in the playoff standings. Turigtians dominates Blackmanes I expected it to be closer as Blackmanes seem to follow the Turigtians blueprint of a stout defense and solid running game. Turigtians changed it up and threw 63 times with no turnovers. Can't bank on them just running anymore. Sakeo 21 Red Bull 17 An undefeated has fallen. This was a big win for Sakeo as they are in the final playoff spot if the playoffs started today. Honestly the margin of victory could have been more. Sakeo threw two picks in the Bulls half of the field with one of them on the 12 yard line. I got to give it to Sakeo to pull out the win while dominating statistically and havine a -2 turnover margin. SF 42 Minglewood 27 I have no business winning this game. Both unbeaten teams should have fallen today. Minglewood was up 21 to 14 going into the fourth quarter. Minglewood dominated me statistically up to that point. In the fourth quarter I outscored Minglewood 28-6. Almost half my yardage was the 4th quarter combined with an int for a td. The loss by Minglewood drops them to 6-4 but still in the playoff spot. It is a 4 to 6 team group they are battling to get into the playoffs with. A win next week vs a bot team will clinch the division for SF. I know I won't go undefeated with 3 of my final 6 vs France, Miami Dolphins, and Budapest. |

Game Previews
Lots of playoff implications this week.... Balaton VS Godesberg A 6-4 Balaton vs a 4-6 Godesberg. A loss by Godesberg might push them farther than they can recover to make the playoffs. A win by Godesberg and they will be just one game back of Balaton for a playoff spot. Balaton needs to keep pace with Minglewood who is also 6-4. Convicts vs Minglewood The Convicts are on a roll winning 4 in a row and along the way destroying France and beating Balaton. Minglewood has lost 2 in a row although their opponents in those 2 games have a combined 19-1 record. Minglewood still has over 100 PD lead over convicts so even a loss wouldn't know them out but a good showing to the right the ship is needed. France VS Miami D France has been the most inconsistent and most difficult to predict this season. They keep a close game vs Vikings, beat Mirmidones, get creamed by Eagles and Convicts. It is a topsy turvy world we live in. lol. I don't know which France is coming to the next game but a loss would hurt them tremendously to make the playoffs. Sakeo VS Cheshire Two teams at 6-4 who both need the win. Sakeo is fresh off the upset win over Red Bull while Cheshire is licking its wounds after getting dominated by Balaton. Sakeo is in a crowded group for a wild card while Cheshire is hanging on to a division lead. St. Pauli vs Blackmanes Take 1 This is the first of 2 games for these two teams fighting for a division title. Blackmanes probably would have to win both of these games to win the title with the PD between these teams so large. |

Game Reviews
Godesberg 22 Balaton 16 This match was game running futility. Balaton averaged 1 yard per rush and Godesberg averaged 1.5 yards per carry. Godesberg had 21 first downs to Balaton's 6. Despite that disparity Godesberg need to outscore Balaton 9-0 in the fourth quarter to come back and win this one. They pull to a game behind a group of 4 teams that are all 6-5. They aren't out yet but they still need help getting in. Budapest 26 vs Karkara 10 I bring this game up as I was intrigued that with 4 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter the Wolves were losing 6-10 to the heavy underdog. Then I looked and saw that the Wolves were playing on relaxed. Either they made a mistake or didn't take their opponent seriously. Derbent 13 Minglewood 0 This is the most confusing match this week. Minglewood who is the number 1 passing offense attempts a mere 4 pass attempts this game? In fact Minglewood has in every game before this one had a playbook that had only 2 lines in it. Believe I scouted them. They just passed on the left in Big I for 99% of their plays. Today they ran 69 times using three formations. Not sure if this new game plan is working for them at the moment. I'm sure they will go back to the pass sooner than later. This match brought both teams into a tie at 6-5. Minglewood still has the PD advantage though. Miami pulls away vs France in the 4th quarter. France kept this close and had the lead a few times until the 4th quarter when they were out scored 28-0. With their current pd and 4-7 record I think they are pretty much eliminated from the playoffs. NE holds on to win by 7 NE has great talent on the team but was statistically dominated by Enudu who is 2 days old. All three TD's by NE were off of interceptions in the opponents redzone. The three touchdown drives were 24 yards, 20 yards, and 8 yards. NE is currently 2 games back of a wild card. Cheshire 20 Sakeo 0 A defensive game for sure as both teams are held to under 300 total yards. Cheshire had an interception return for a td and a long 74 yard drive with a few field goals. Sakeo had 3 turnovers to Cheshire's one. The loss dropped Sakeo to a game behind Mirmidones for the last wild card while the win for Cheshire kept them 2 games up for the division title. St. Pauli wins NC West Shoot out over Blackmanes 35-30. The previous match I went over was a defensive game and this one is quite the opposite. Both teams combined for 56 first downs and averaged around 6 yards per play regardless if it is was a run or a pass. It felt like whoever had it last could win it. What it felt like it came down to is the Blackmanes couldn't get over the hump. Every time they pulled within a score St. Pauli answered. Blackmanes were in the game the whole way but never once held the lead. Blackmanes are still securely in the driver seat for a wildcard game. Division Clinches and Near Clinches AC East: For all intents and purposes Turigtians has clinched it. Mathematically their number is 2. A combinations of wins and losses by them and Minglewood. So if they win and Minglewood loses next game then they clinch. AC North: Miami is 9-2 with Derbent 6-5. In two games they play each other. Miami wins that and it should be their division title. AC South: SF clinches division title. Honestly I haven't played as challenging schedule as some here. I'm sure either or both Miami and Budapest will tarnish the unbeaten record so far. Although this next game is my only bot I play in league this season. AC West: Vikings are 9-2 but Balaton and Bucks are 6-5 with Godesberg at 5-6. The thing is....almost all of the remaining games for these 4 teams are vs each other. There are 6 games left that feature these teams vs each other. Vikings are the favorite but not for sure. NC East: Budapest at 10-1 has the lead over the 7-4 Mirmidones. The mathematical number is 3 combined wins and losses between them. Budapest has 3 or 4 tough games left. Edge is Budapest. Mirmidones needs everything to go their way to win it. NC North: Red Bull at 10-1 sits atop the division with Owls and Sakeo at 6-5. Bulls have St. Pauli next week but after that it is smooth sailing. The number is 2 combined wins and losses for the bulls and each of those two teams. NC East: Two teams have gone bot so it is Cheshire at 7-4 and NE at 5-6 left. They have fairly comparable schedules remaining. A bigger concern is NE is in financial trouble and hasn't logged in for a week. Is the end for them? Cheshire should win this division. NC West: St. Pauli (10-1) extended their division lead beating Blackmanes (8-3) last game. They both have a tough game left (Blackmanes vs Budapest and ST. Pauli vs Red Bull) plus the last game of the year vs each other. The remainder of their games should be wins. For Blackmanes to win division they need these things to happen: 1. St. Pauli losing to Red bull (within reason of course) 2. Blackmanes beat Budapest (tough to win) 3. St. Pauli loses to Ankh 4. Blackmanes wins final game of season. So I think the key is if Ankh can upset ST. Pauli. Last edited on 2021-11-30 22:25:47 by sfniner08 |

Only 2 Games to Preview
Not a lot of interesting games coming up with playoff implications. Bucks and Balaton both 6-5 Both teams in the same division and Balaton owns tiebreaker with PD. Currently Balaton is holding the last playoff spot but a win by Bucks can reverse that. St. Pauli 10-1 vs Red Bull 10-1 Perhaps a Conference Championship preview? This would affect seeding for sure. St. Pauli doesn't boast the best defense but they can keep up in a shootout. I think the key is if Redbull keeps it from being a shootout. |
