Sacks are not only about QB physicals and intel...
Off line. Play calls. D formations and play calls. D line talent. AND the game engine. |

I wasn't comparing my QBs from last season (my mistake on not being clear on this). During a previous tour in Elite, I had a 52.5 Spd/50 Intel QB who got sacked a total of 43x during five seasons (40-44) whereas my current QB, having "only" 50 Spd (and 52.5 strength) was sacked 71x in his lone Elite season.
On a side note, sacks aren't necessarily drive killers. How many times are sacks negated by a pick pass play on the very next play? Despite having a heavily sacked QB last season, I was a few plays away from competing for a playoff spot |

hello all
I have a 19 year old academy guy who is capped STR 50, capped SPD 42. Trackstar and Sure Tackler. So I was wondering, due to his lower SPD, but the trackstar giving him +5% (equivalent then of SPD 44'5??), would that guy be a decent SS (due to his Str, I think better SS than SF), as I'm thinking, or what would you do with him? He's got INT 34, TW 41, Talent 4* |

I'd go NT & DT as 44 speed isn't the best for any other Defensive position, 42 is also the lowest I'd go for the DL too as the Track Star doesn't work on DL.
TW is good enough for sure Last edited on 2022-03-09 10:24:41 by dell_g |

I have a player with STR 49.5 and SP 50 with a 46.7 INT and 35.6 TW. I already have his build as a defensive player, so its between DE or MLB/OLB. I originally had him at MLB because I already had two 50 SP OLB's (though they both have lower STR.) But I moved him to DE because I lacked DE's with high Speed. But still the question remains in my mind. If everything and everyone else was equal, including my team needs, where would a player like this be most productive? Thanks!

High int and mediocre tw puts him at MLB, but those physicals make him a DE. I know you want a direct answer, but it depends on your needs. Your decision to move him was a good one if you dont have other guys with those physicals on the edge. |

If you are weak at safety you could also consider that. I would agree with lb designation. Hate to waste brains on dl. I would specifically put them at OLB or safety.

I would absolutely not put him at Safety, unless I have a better player at all LB and all CB spots. Dont mix real life and this sim. Safety do not have much impact in this game and the biggest impact are missed tackles, |

It would be such a waste of strength and speed at SF position. But I would make room for him at LB position. |
