I seem to remember this being discussed before, but I couldn't find the thread so I'm gonna ask it again. Do players drafted by bot teams ever hit free agency? This obviously would be nice for the good players that end up in the abyss of a bot team.

This obviously would be nice for the good players that end up in the abyss of a bot team. THey do, but the system is a bit more complecated than just 'today drafted, tomorrow bought by some other team'. As far as I know the players do not become part of the drafting team. Instead they become part of the gigantic pool of players with 'No team'. Out of this pool every day some players are selected to hit the market, the rest stays were they are and does basically wait for the call. So in theory a drafted player can wait until retirement for the call, or he is selected on the 1st day after the draft. It's all random. |

Awesome, thanks for the explanation. I'm glad I wasn't mistaken on that but it's good to know how that process works. Now I just have to hope that a good player from last year's draft hits FA soon

Also, you would not believe it, other managers do sell players, too. ![]() And not all are rubbish. |

This is true. I am perhaps just jealous that a good player that I had high on my draft board went to a bot team

Same here
![]() Credit to Radu, I read a comment of his alluding to this - download the draft csv and keep it - the player ID doesn't change. So, when searching the transfer market and you see that player ID, reference the CSV and know it's one of your targets from the draft ![]() |

That is true, but that can take 3 years or so, and the guy ages, but gets no training.
