Welcome to the topic where we will talk about players leaving their teams, joining teams, or any big transaction involving any big players, like, for example: last season Edgaras Balandis, S55 Best QB in the world, was released by Sheffield and then signed with the Manta Rays. If there is any big deal that you made or any big players you jost fired or released, this is the perfect topic to do so.

Say "Moin" to Aleksander Brandt. He was my first round pick in S54. He only got some snaps in one League game against a bot. At the End of the season he was sold for $50k to the Hereford Hawks into the Claymore region. He developed to a 4.5 star OL in his six and a half seasons on the Island.

This morning I bought him back. Welcome home Aleksander. "A quality lineman! I just couldn't afford his wages next season!"... well, I could.

Estimated wage is $440k.

Bragging is not my style but the Weasels have managed to put together a YA for the ages. Tonights signing of Bo Jackson further cements what should be a trio of dominant players for the future. Bo will be rooming in the YA with recent youth pull Dion Sanders and just across the hall from Rodney Moss. Weasel management is looking for a Joe Montana to distribute the ball to these star players.

YOU CAN OFFER MONEY TO STOP RETIREMENT?

YES!

Manual: Players
Up to 2 out of these retiring players per team offer the manager to stay for one more year. The manager receives a message telling about the players will to rethink retirement. The manager can then pay the amount asked by the player. The function is available on the players detail page, next to the options for firing players.
The player will ask for at least $2,000,000, but no more than $10,000,000 - depending on his wage bill.

Transfer Alert

The HAMBURG SEA LIONS have made a steal on the transfer market this early morning, when they acquired 20 year old defensive player Imad Scheiben for only 4 Mio$.

And words from inside the facility are that they were willing to pay even much more. That’s a new one for this franchise as they recently have gone for some cheaper players to re-fill their war chest more efficiently. They had been a little active these past weeks, and it is said that they were a little mad when they let Sun Liauw slip through their fingers (who ultimately landed with the Manta Rays). But luckily their scouts were able to find Scheiben instead, who seems to be a great fit for their LB-Corps. Some even made the assumption he might be the heir to his future team mate Kurt Robertson, who will retire at seasons end.

"But this remains to be seen,“ said Charley Hickman, LB-Coach for the SEA LIONS. "It’ll be interesting to see how he fits in. He’ll get a lot of time to show in the games that we’ll play before the new season begins, and we’re confident that he will be a problem in the run game for any opponent."

Only when the player makes an offer to not retire, though. Those come when the new season begins, and the first one I accepted. That particular player did not offer to retire for another 4 seasons, I think… always playing on 1-year-deals, of course.

Since then I have only taken the offer for players that I did not want in the SEA LIONS Hall of Fame. Otherwise those are some expensive seasons to pay after the offer is accepted.

Which you don’t have to do right away, btw… the offer stands, if it’s placed at the beginning of the season, until that season is over and the HR department closes.
