Further to that, I think the lesson to learn here is either:
- publish complete formulae or - publish NO formulae I favour the latter, it's probably better if we as players know none of the formulae behind the game. |

But I have to say that using this formula on conand Exp, I don't match the fall in YA... But as I did it in my head very quickly, that could be my mistake there...

Sorry Pete, but this is not written anywhere. In one of the 100 topics about the coaches, I wrote you about the calculation of the additional training points to the YA. Your answer was extremely precise and not concerning about any consistency and/or experience...  That is the thing we are discussing. I thought it is clear that the CON/EXP factor comes in on every event, and even the training was mentioned in the chapter. OK, might be it is better to put it on top and not on the bottom - but the fact itself was there, from the beginning. This is why I would like to "refuse your complaint" about it. |

Which ever way I would go, it would be wrong and I would face some more - much or less - harsh complaints. If I publish the formulas, people seem to "stop thinking" (note the "!!) and don't read further, nor do they put formulas together or try to understand the whole thing. If I don't publish the formulas, the "beancounters" would start crying "we can't plan"... For myself, I don't care if - and if the community makes a suggestion and decides to remove all formulas from the manual, I am fine with. But I would prefer to keep the formulas in there. It seems, there is (sometimes, cause not all results are wrong) an error with the basic calculation. This is what I am looking for at the moment. Another issue is the fact people misunderstood the manual, and did not take into account the CON/EXP factor. If both things are mixing for your team, you can't understand the result... |

I've read the whole topic and even calculating with the exp/con factors I still don't get the ammount of YA points I should. Or I've made a mistake/misread something in the manual, but since you're online Pete, I just want to see if my calculations are correct, and please corect any mistakes I've made, so here goes:
My HC has: CP = 77 EXP = 3,5* = 35 CON = 5* = 50 Exp-Factor = 1 + ((EXP - 40 ) / 100 / 2) = 1+((35-40)/100/2) = 0,975 rand_con=1 + (rand(0 - (55-CON),(55-CON)) / 100 / 5) = between 1+((0-(55-50))/100/5) = 0,99 and 1+((55-50)/100/5) = 1,01 EXP-CON-factor=Exp-Factor * rand_con = between 0,975*0,99 = 0,96525 and 0,975*1,01 = 0,98475 Final-CP = CP * EXP-CON-factor = between 77*0,96525 = 74,32425 and 77*0,98475 = 75,82575 I have 10 ACs, each giving 10%, rounded down to even number. I have a maxed out (lvl 4) YA. So even calculating with the lowest possible 74 final HC CP my YA points should be: trainingpoints = ((youthacademy level + 1) * 5) + (HC CP / 2) = (4+1)*5 + (74/2) = 25 + 37 = 62 62*1,1 = 68,2 68*1,1 = 74,8 75*1,1 = 82,5 82*1,1 = 90,2 90*1,1 = 99 99*1,1 = 108,9 109*1,1 = 119,9 120*1,1 = 132 132*1,1 = 145,2 145*1,1 = 159,5 So instead of the current 101 training points, I should be having 160. This is in no way a complaint (maybe I don't even know what I'm doing), I just want Pete to tell me what I did wrong in the calculations above. Thank you. |
