For the last few years people keep saying - don't use Gore, he's too old, he can't cope, he's not good enough.
In my opinion, I don't care who the Niners are up against, if the game matters and Gore is fit, he's an automatic choice. There are so few RBs that you can depend on for a solid 10 points week in week out. This season even more so than usual. Look at all the 1st rounders who have failed - Rice, Martin(before his injury), Spiller. Gore has only 1 outing this season when he has failed to make 10 points - week 2 vs Seattle. Only Jamaal Charles and Matt Forte can match that. In a topsy turvy season like this one, you never bench someone 90% likely to get 10+ - you take him as your banker, and if you need to make some risky choices, make those around him. Gore starts for me until the time when they start saving his legs for the playoffs. |

Consider - Matt Forte and Knowshon Moreno were outscoring him for the year coming into this week... Snatching Rashad Jennings off the waiver wire netted a cool 21 fantasy points this week. Playing the matchups doesn't ALWAYS work, but over the length of the season ... it can pay off. Last edited on 2013-11-18 01:31:21 by Gambler75 |
