Whatever Pete Carroll is doing with Seattle it is clearly working...

Their intensity on the field in New York on Sunday night was superb. Denver were simply shellshocked.

it was similar to when the Saints played Seattle (but worse)- when the offense doesn't get a first down til the second quarter, it's too big of a hole to climb out of against that D.

It's interesting stuff and a change from the traditional approach. I think alot of the Tech companies bring in people now to encourage meditation and certainly the Ravens have music playing during practice and have staff to help players with personal issues. The part with Tom Cable was the most interesting though when he has seen the difference from how he was coaching to now.

It is just bringing players to the right mindset for a game. Many teams and sportspeople have sports psychologists, even amateur ones.

What surprises me is the line stating not every team has a psychologist. What is the point paying someone big bucks and not giving them the surroundings to reach their potential?

It is no magic. The players are foccused and they can tackle. Normally the first defender stops the ballcarrier.
The D-Line has 7 strong players and they can rotate, so they do not get tired so fast and so is a permanent pressure on the QBs. That makes it "easier" for the DBs.
And Seattle did not have much loses of injured players, as far as I know.
