Football is legit enough in Japan to where they made a manga which got its own anime show... That's pretty impressive, shame theres no English version, its just Japanese

OK. May not be elite but if you love the game you feed off any scraps you're fed.
I remember The Merseyside Centurions a while back and now we have another team to proudly represent my area.....The Merseyside Nighthawks. Great name, great kit and doing great with a 6-0 record. Check out their site at: http://www.merseysidenighthawks.co.uk/ |

Thanks to a friend in another nation, I have now seen a photo of American football played in the Philippines. It looked like high school level, but I've never read of such a thing.

Great thread! I love (American) football, so it's nice to hear about other countries embracing this sport.

Our team has just been disqualified from the league in the UK and several of our coaches banned or fined (Our national governing body has also interfered with the personal plans of one of our coaches to travel and coach in the US).
Me and all of my team mates are devastated! I cannot comment too heavily on the detail, but for a National Governing Body to have an agenda against one or more of our coaches and punish a playing roster of 60 players to me is against the spirit of the game and sport in general! I wont say which governing body it is, but it sounds like Rafa. If anyone would like to speak to me on the subject, PM me. If anyone feels they have the legal/sports background to help us/me, then please PM me. Very disillusioned Player |

My sentiment exactly, hit the coaches (not their personal lives), but let the players play! especially as we only have 4 games left of the season.
So much for player development and the game as a whole in GB |
