For this installment rather than a divisional break down we'll look at the Conference playoff contenders and possible seeds. Lets start with AC.
Simkonville Fraggles 10-2 1st place AC East. Fraggles have a 1 game edge on Wild Thangs but are behind them in PD. Currently they would have the 3rd seed and host the 6th seed in the Wild Card round. Winning out gives them the division but they would still need help to move up in seeding as they are 2 games behind Narann and Divers for the top 2 seeds. Wild Thangs 9-3 2nd place AC East. Thangs are down 1 game to Fraggles for division and currently hold the 6th seed. If they season were over they would go to 3rd seed Fraggles whom they swept in their season series. They are also 1 game back of the Cardinals for the 5th seed and only 1 game ahead of the Pirates. At the end I will discuss the significance of the WC 5th and 6th seeds. This season there is a huge advantage of 5 over 6. LM Pirates 8-4 3rd place AC East. The Pirates are 1 game back of Thangs for final WC and 2 to the Fraggles. They still have a game with both So the power to come on strong or to fade is in their hands. Right now they are on the outside looking in with probably the toughest 4 game schedule of the playoff contenders. Divers 12-0 1st place AC North. With Flow gaming in a rebuild year the divers were blessed with a very easy division. Currently 2nd seed well behind Narann for PD for the 1 seed all the Divers have to do is win 3 out of 4 to hold on to the 2 seed and get a 1st round bye. True Winners Home and Vile Vikings 5-7 Tied for 1st place AC South. Whichever wins the division takes 4th seed and hosts the 5th seed as a heavy under dog in the WC round. Inbhir Narann 12-0 1st place AC West. Currently the first seed and Destroyer of Planets. Out of the gate Narann has consistently taken care of business. Since narrowly getting eliminated from the playoffs last season they have been on a mission. The biggest question is if we can persuade Bova to continue his weekly predictions for us from Elite next season. Severnside Cardinals 10-2 2nd place AC West. Cardinals are holding on to the 5th seed but only by one game and they play "The Destroyer of Planets" one more time. The difference between the 5th seed and 6th seed is huge if one wants to advance to divisionals. As the 5th seed you will play either True Winners or Vikings and be a heavy favorite or as the 6th seed play the 4th seed which will probably be Fraggles or Thangs as a dog. If Cards win out they will keep the 5th seed. |

And now for the NC...
Die Verdammten 12-0 1st place NC East. Flawless season and holding number 1 seed. They haven't lost a 1.1 game since season 17 and looking to return to Elite. A great example for what young teams should try to build for. The Wolfe Pack 9-3 2nd place NC East. Don't look now but this 1.1 rookie manager is sitting in the 6th seed with a 2 game lead on the Patriots for the last playoff spot. If they win 3 out of 4 they are in and 2-2 probably gets the job done. With a player salary under 500K no one has done more with less. Very impressive 1.1 maiden season. Bison City Nightcrew, Amersfoort Alligators, and Lionwings 2 at 5-7, 1 at 4-8 NC North  Winner of this division takes 4th seed and will host 5th seed as a heavy dog. This playoff game actually would be interesting if Wolfe Pack moves up to 5th, if not the visitor will be heavy favorite.
Bogan Galaxy 10-2 1st place NC South. Currently the 3rd seed but tied in record to 2nd and very close in PD. I think they saw a fight with the Broncos for 2nd seed when earier in the season they used an MOTY to beat them. They also are only one game up in division. Deflators 9-3 2nd place NC South. Currently 5th seed but only by PD over Wolfe Pack. They also still have the division in their sights just a game back. Very nice improvement over last season in one of the toughest divisions. Totoras Patriots 7-5 3rd place NC South. Can you believe that this team is on life support? A very talented team and experienced owner they find themselves 2 games back with 4 to go. They still have division rivals Galaxy and Basterds on their schedule. Even if they win out, which won't be easy, they may still be on the outside looking in. |
