Hello all,
The the season has come to an end for most teams. The players prepare for some well deserved rest before the OTA's start again in a few weeks. It is therefore the perfect time to glance back over the last 17 manic weeks of hotly contested divisions and games. The Game of the Week team therefore wanted to ask all managers some light hearted questions. Feel free to be as honest as you want to be but remember that this is supposed be a light-hearted review: 1. What rating would you give your season (1 is really bad, 10 is perfect) 2. What was your team's Game of the Year for you and why? 3. What was your biggest mistake this season? 4. And what was your stroke of genius this season? 5. Any bold predictions for next season? |

I'll start:
1. a solid 7 2. the first game again Bison Crew as it proved I could beat him in a one-on-one contest. This provided the confidence to go into the final game of the season (against Bison Crew) knowing I could get a result. 3. Spending hours to prep a game and then forgetting I had to enter settings etc one hour before game time. Hours wasted. Still won though which shows that my managerial impact is very limited ;-) 4. Finally taking time to create a full and proper offensive playbook. It's so confusing now that even I don't know what my team will do, let alone my opponents 
5. Amersfoort Alligators will win the NC North again! |

1. What rating would you give your season (1 is really bad, 10 is perfect) 7. This goes up if we make it to the Bowl game. After getting dismantled in last seasons Championship round anything less will be a disappointment. 2. What was your team's Game of the Year for you and why? Going to Simkonville and winning. That was the game where I came away feeling I have a chance to go to the Bowl. 3. What was your biggest mistake this season? My preseason predictions for NC North.
4. And what was your stroke of genius this season? Purchasing the Michigan State Spartans QB during his mid-season sell off. Stone Mountain was buying up all of his players so it wasn't easy. 5. Any bold predictions for next season? Thunder's team avg. score on Beckos continues to rise. We started the season the lowest but have passed 2 leagues by the end. I think a 7. I thought I would be fighting for the 3rd place in the Division and I could even fight for the 1st, so I'm really happy. 2. What was your team's Game of the Year for you and why? The win at Wild Thangs, we played a great game! 3. What was your biggest mistake this season? Maybe the game against Bison City Nightcrew, I didn't play with my best Depth Chart and I lost. 4. And what was your stroke of genius this season? Hmmm, anything special, just trying to better my team with younger players. 5. Any bold predictions for next season? Play-Offs for me and great level from the Thunder people in Elite! |

I'd give my team an 8. Although my team finished 7-9 I was only looking for a 5-11 and they were having competitive games with teams I thought they had no chance against. 2. What was your team's Game of the Year for you and why? The match against Totoras Patriots where we were predicted to lose by 31, the actual loss was only by 3, and they got into the play-offs. 3. What was your biggest mistake this season? Not changing my playbook in the off-season. My first league game was against The Wolfe Pack where I was predicted a win by Bova and a 16 point win by Beckos. I lost by 16 and soon changed my playbook! 4. And what was your stroke of genius this season? Hopefully preparing for next season! There's the change in the playbook, replacing the weakest players in my team so hopefully when my division is tougher next season, we will be prepared. 5. Any bold predictions for next season? 7-9 this season, we may not improve that by much (I'll be missing two games against bot opposition and Newcastle Knights will carry on improving) so 7-9 wouldn't be a disaster but hopefully a winning season may be achievable, no division or play-offs next season but if we can get a couple more wins and not get crushed against the Broncos I'll be happy! |

7.3852 2. What was your team's Game of the Year for you and why? Early season win against the Fraggles, looks like we have a new rivalry going on and for some reason we match up well against them! 3. What was your biggest mistake this season? Taking some teams too lightly, and it showed... especially the Pirates! 4. And what was your stroke of genius this season? I saved 15% on my car insurance in 5 minutes! 5. Any bold predictions for next season? Ummmmmm......no. |

5 2. What was your team's Game of the Year for you and why? First Game against Bogan Galaxy which I lost badly... 3. What was your biggest mistake this season? Playing with wrong DC one game (which didn't matter at all). Lot's of small mistakes regarding game planning 4. And what was your stroke of genius this season? Trying to tank against a bot and failing 
5. Any bold predictions for next season? Hope to come back and fight for a PO Spot |
