Hello all and we are back for this week's edition of the Game of the Week show. We are in week 6 already and we are going to examine the clash between one of the oldest teams in Thunder 1.1, the Totoras Patriots, and one of the more exciting upstarts in the same league, Bison City Nightcrew.
Totoras are trapped in the hardest division now in Thunder 1.1 with M. Divers and basterds fighting over 1st and 2nd place. They are however a strong team that can beat anyone on their day. Bison City meanwhile have steadily improved over the last two seasons and this season are showing signs of being able to go toe to toe with the big boys. This game will show how far they've come as they are the underdog for sure, but who knows, they might continue their rise upwards. Our beat writer ran into wolf13 as he was entering the building for practice and he immediately made himself available for an interview, great guy!
Question 1. You've really improved since you've joined Thunder 1.1 and it seems this season the battle for the no.1 spot in NC North is real. Are you declaring yourself favorite or do you still consider yourself the underdog? Definately the underdog. Hopefully will make it interesting but still building. Question 2. Troy Turnbull is your leading scorer of TDs this season however he also has 12 drops. Fans are obviously very frustrated by this. What can you do to take this part out of his game? Considering his low skill set i`m surprised its not more. At his age hes not going to improve on drops so the fans will just have to appreciate the ones he does catch. Question 3. What do you think the key deciding factor in this game will be? Studying the hell out of them and a lot of luck. |

Between the Patriots and B Wolves Thunder must have the most talented 2-3 teams not in Elite. Bison still gives a good effort covering the 22 point spread Beckos gives.

The editor picked this game indeed because he thinks that Bison could indeed run the Patriots closer than rzbeckos seems to suggest.

Question 1. You've bought a fair number of new younger players this season. Are you preparing for a reboot or is this part of a longer term plan? The idea is to maintain a roster with some veterans and many young people that allow us not to have to face reconstructions of many seasons. Every season we seek to incorporate young, compared with the current and the results keep improving every area of the game. Question 2. Thurman Fajardo has been very prone to throwing interceptions. In fact he has two interceptions to every touchdown. Is this something that concerns you? The mistake is mine, I made changes in staff and that affected the performance of the offensive in the first weeks of the season. We hope these changes bring good results in the future. Question 3. What do you think the key deciding factor in this game will be? They have a young team with good talent in key positions. They are dangerous, are unbeaten in the league and SuperCup. The key will be to improve our performance, be more efficient on offense, tackle well and dominant on special teams. If we put the offense in good field position and keep our opponent away from the red zone, we will have possibilities of winning. |
