Our reporter returns from Argentina where he interviewed a reflective Jonatan River.

1 This season you are currently 2-5 in the league. As one of the traditionally better teams in the conference you have had competitive games against Basterds, Cardinals, and Deflators but come out on the losing side of all three. Indeed at the moment you are halfway through a run that sees you face Nightcrew, Divers, Deflators, Alligators, then Divers again. Do you see your current record this season as reflective of your teams current level or are you feeling victimised by your schedule?

The level of my team is limited. I'm 2-5 with young players that should perform better. We did not complete work we had to do and today we are suffering in the field. This season is lost. From now on, we need to improve our roster, perfect playbooks and more before we reach 24 Season.

2 The most obvious weakness of your team at the moment would seem to be your quarterbacks. Your starting quarterback Thurman Fajardo is currently only completing 48% of his passes (in league games), with the backup Simón Pagán at 41%. Are you planning to do anything to combat this problem?

We made several mistakes. Changes of the staff, changes to the playbook and incorporated new players. Not a good strategy to make as many changes.

3 What do you think the key deciding factor in this game will be?

My offensive. We can not win games if we play with so little effectiveness. We have to move the chains, create first downs and score points. If we do not score more than 15 points per game, we will not be able to beat anybody.

Our thanks to Jonatan River for his honest and frank comments.

Jon doesn't post much on our forum but always gives a great interview and a great competitor. Good read Jon and good luck getting your offense on track.

One correction, The patriots already played the M. Divers once so they only have one more game against us not two. Let's not make his schedule going forward tougher than it already is.

"you are halfway through a run that sees you face Nightcrew, Divers, Deflators, Alligators, then Divers again.". Think I got the 2 Divers right, as he is halfway though the games I mentioned. I believe what confused you is my complete lack of grasp for which tense to write the sentence in!

Granted I am using my fingers to count, but it sounds like he has to face me 2 more times. I need help when playing connect the dots so this complex use of my native language may go right by me.

Keep in mind that we are currently between the third and fourth of the games I mentioned, hence 'halfway through'! Don't worry Cheesehead will be back for next game. His writing skills are better than mine

Our other journalist got the privilege of interviewing Cheesehead on his private Jet.

1 You have won your division for the last two seasons. This season Bison City Nightcrew (wildcard last season) seem to be mounting a challenge for the division. How seriously do you take their challenge, are you having to make changes to cope with them?

The last few seasons I considered myself the top dog in NC North and any talk of BCN challenging me I found to be disrespectful of my team. This season however it is real. And I am stressed by it. The last game we played I probably took 4 hours to prep the game only for BCN to still outwit me! So yes, I am making changes to cope with him. On top of that, our games always feature freak plays and unexpected twists and turns, last one being no exception. But in truth, I like that the division is more challenging (that is as long as I keep winning the match ups ).

2 At the moment your team is 6-2 whilst Totoras Patriots are 2-5. Some may see this as a mismatch but both Beckos and ELO have The Patriots as quite strong favourites. Do you see this as disrespectful of your achievements over the past couple of seasons and especially this season, or are you worried by your opponents?

I consider every game winnable. Against basterds I played actually very well minus the turn overs. Of course I realise that I am the underdog and fairly so. But if Patriots think they can just wheel into the Swamp Arena for an easy win they are in for a rude awakening!

3 What do you think the key deciding factor in this game will be?

Will I figure out a way to get rid of my turn over nightmare this season? If I don't turn over the ball I expect I can run the Patriots close. If I turn it over twice like I've done at least every game so far I have no chance.

Our thanks go to Cheesehead for this interview.
