Inbhir Narann @ Budapest Wolves

This Titan matchup will be hard fought as Inbhir Naraan takes on Budapest Wolves. Wolves has Elite league experience on there side but Naraan are one of the toughest in the league and will hoping to cause an upset and progress. The Budapest running back will be valuable in this matchup being 3rd in the league for broken tackles. Both the kickers also have the top 2 spots in the league for converted field goals to this tie a juicy prospect.

I spoke to both managers leading upto this tie and this is what they had to say

Inbhir Naraan

1) This is your first test of the playoffs, how do you expect your team to fair against the mighty Budapest Wolves?

Last time we faced each other the Wolves beat us by 7. T think this one will be close as well, though it usually is hard getting a result in Budapest.

2) The Budapest RB is 3rd in the league for broken tackles, How do you plan to deal with the problems he can cause you?

Is he? I didn't know until you mentioned it. We will see what happens during the game as I expect my defense to be at it's best as usual.

Budapest Wolves

1) This is your second attempt to gain elite league status, How do you rate your chances this season?

2) Your running back is 3rd for broken tackles this season, How valuable will his form be going into this tie and the playoffs?

3) Inbhir Naraan are one of the toughest sides in the league, How do you deal with an opponent that can beat anyone on there day?

Wild Thangs @ Deflators

Wild Thangs overcame LM Pirates with ease in the Wild Card round while Deflators kick off there playoff run in the divisional round. The Deflators been impressive this season and will make themselves hard to beat on both sides of the ball so there opponents will need to be on there game.

I spoke to both managers leading upto this tie and this is what they had to say:

WILD THANGS

1) You overcame LM Pirates in the Wild Card round slight underdog, How pleased are you with that result? And what as it done for your confidence going into a tough Deflators matchup?

I am glad to be moving on, and consider myself lucky to have made it this far.

2) Your opponents is the favourite of the AC conference to reach the Bowl and has the best defence in the Conference. How do you play against a side who's OL pairing Strelkov and Tadin who has over 3000 pancakes between them and who's LBs is the best position in the league taking 4 places in the top 7 for sacks and one of the best QB performances this season?

ummmmm...... you close your eyes and pray.

DEFLATORS

1) You play a Wild Thangs side who you beat by a fairly comfortable margin earlier this season. How confident are you going into this tie?

I know we can beat them. I know we should beat them. But we still have to execute. The last two seasons in Thunder there's been one team that makes it to the Bowl game that no one expected to make it. Heck, 2 seasons ago we WERE that team no one expected to reach the Bowl game! This time we're out to make sure we don't end up on the wrong side of any upsets or shockers.

2)Your team is favourite in the AC to reach the Bowl, What are Your expectations going into the playoffs?

We expect to at least reach the bowl game. Anything less will be considered a disappointment.

3) Your team has some impressive stats this season, QB is 3rd for passing yards and 5th for passing TDs, 3rd for QB passing yds and 5th passing TDs, Your RB Landry is 1st in the league for TDs, Rushing yards and leading the league in MVPs, OL pairing Strelkov and Tadin who has over 3000 pancakes between them and who's LBs is the best position in the league taking 4 places in the top 7 for sacks. How happy are you with your players performances this season and how valuable will that be going in to your playoff campaign?

Our guys have risen to the occasion time and time again throughout the season, and coming into the playoffs I don't expect anything different.

Toledo Tigers @ Hucknall Broncos

Surprise package Toledo Tigers got a shock result against Die Verdammten in the Wild Card round which has taken all by surprise. They play Hucknall Broncos who play there first tie of the playoffs. This tie won't be a given for Hucknall as Toledo clearly have a way of pulling results out the bag, Hucknall in previous season's has had a habit of slipping up but seems to have put that behind them this season.

I spoke to both managers leading upto this tie and this is what they had to say:

Toledo Tigers

1) You have had a great start to your managerial career with Toledo. How have you managed to grow your franchise abs achieve a 1.1 playoff spot so quickly?

I have tried to follow the great advice given by the more experienced players in the Forums.

2) Die Verdammten was a big result in tie last matchup, with Hucknall Broncos improving this year how do you ensure you progress to the Conference Championship game?

The Broncos beat the Tigers 28-20 in October. I am just hoping to keep it close and not get walloped.

3) What do you believe the key will be to beat Hucknall Broncos?

I plan to visit JimBob in Hucknall and get him drunk before the game.

Hucknall Broncos

1) Toledo Tigers has progressed at a surprisingly fast rate. What do you feel you need to change to ensure Toledo don't cause another upset?

2) Your season seems to have improved this year compared to others, what have you done to change things this season?

3) What are Your expectations going into the Playoffs?

Amersfoort Alligators @ M. Divers

Amersfoort Alligators will be the heavy underdog in this matchup playing the Divers who has spent a season in the elite league. The Divers QB has been building his own stats this season so anything less than a win would be a surprise. Divers are also the slight favourites for the Bowl game to go through from the NC

I spoke to both managers leading upto this tie and this is what they had to say:

Amersfoort Alligators

1) You play Divers in this divisional matchup, How do you prepare for a have where you go in as heavy underdog?

Against basterds I thought I stood a chance if I played my cards right. M Divers however is an insurmountable challenge I'm afraid. Firstly because I am away from home. Secondly as thomastem's game planning is excellent, so he'll have that one over on me as well.

Of course I am not giving up and I am studying all the recent games he had to find any chink in the armor. If I were to win I need to a few turn overs. That is what my strategy will be based on. That is all I am willing to say right now :-)

2) With the season almost over what positive can you take from it?

With the season almost over what positive can you take from it?

Well, this has been a topsy turvy season. I started out with my revamped and upgraded 220+ playbook but this resulted in some bad bad plays on the field. Looking back the decision to play with WRs with TC of 10 probably accounted for a lot of the early interceptions I was suffering. Then in week 7 I reverted back to last season's PB (against BCN - 24 - 45 win) and then suddenly the Alligator show was back on the road.

Unfortunately it therefore seems that the turn around happened despite my managerial meddling :-)

But the positives are that I've got an established squad now that I can grow over the coming seasons and that I learned something about the importance of Training in general and more specifically of Vision and TC.
Also I signed a rookie QB this season and I can tell you there is a monster of a QB growing in my youth academy who NOW is already better than both my current QBs.

Finally looking forward, rzbeckos ranks me as 7th in the league right now and I think that this is not over rated (ok maybe by 3 positions) but I do often slip up against so called lesser opponents (Xu Da last season, Steelers this season). So in the off season it is back to the drawing board with regards to the PB to iron that out and to mount a more consistent challenge against the top 5 in Thunder 1.1.

M. Divers

1) Your QB is 4th in the league for passing yards and passing TDs and your LB 1st for sacks, How do you rate there seasons and how important a role will these two big players have not only in this tie but your playoff campaign?

Big role.

2) Being favourites to go to the Bowl game again what are your expectations for your playoff run?

Just concentrating on this game.

3) How do you prepare for a game where you are expected to progress?

Like every game. You can't look past the upcoming game or it will be your last so i play every game like it's the last.
