From Admirals 2.1, ranked #296 globally and winner of his 1st divisional trophy it's amalric7 - owner of Bounty Hunters!

Hi amalric!

Hey punchy! Another familiar face (and division rival) from Broken Bat!

What part of the world are you from?

I am from Dundee, a small city on the east coast of Scotland. Lived here all my days. I don't care for porridge or whisky (more of a beer or bourbon man) or the cold, but w/e, its home.

Who is your real world favorite team?

THE New York Giants. Saw my first NFL game randomly in the 1970s, then watched avidly ever since Channel 4 started broadcasting in the UK in 1982. 1984 was my first season following Big Blue (I picked them randomly - childhood fascination with NYC and liked the nickname 'Giants'), and four SB wins later its one of the best choices I ever made. Play in the same colors as my hometown soccer team (Dundee FC), only with much, much more success! My college team is the Florida State Seminoles - I knew Jameis Winston would be a star, and I also knew Christian Ponder and EJ Manuel would be bums.

Who is your all-time favorite player?

As far as Giants go LT has to be up there, I'm a fan of good defensive football, but its actually Phil Simms - my first QB hero. And most of that is for 1986 alone. If I had to pick a QB for my all-time team though, I'd pick Joe Montana - just coolness and efficiency personified on the field (Phil can back him up ).

How long have you been here at RZA?

Since Season 22, so this is just my third season. Somehow we're 9-1 and tied for the second best record in Admirals 2.1, no idea how that happened (other than good DEF). Still think we're way over our heads.

What is the inspiration for your teams name?

Easy, I'm a big Star Wars fan and always liked Boba Fett, so team name, avatars, team badge and stadium name all come from that! You'll find me on Xbox SW Battlefront at amalric7.

How would you describe your team?

Still finding their way. Always room for improvement and need to train my players up more, but the talent is there. Run a very vanilla offense right now, nothing intricate about it, but very pleased with my D. Feel like we still have a long way to go, but will continue to look at the better/top teams and see where we can develop and improve.

Brag about your most dangerous star player.

All my linebackers have been terrific this season, all good physicals, skills, INT and EXP. But if I had to pick one it would be Asa Danielson, my starting MLB. Bought for a bargain-basement $1.5M in the off-season and has 92.3 tackle pct, 7 sacks and 7 INT (6 pick-sixes), and most importantly been a star when it has counted most.

Your teams most important/favorite win?

Just happened last week (Jan 24th): 27-23 upset win at Vienna Schwabians Seestadt, our first win against them in 13 attempts. Out gained 615-97 but forced four turnovers on downs, made six interceptions (one for a TD) and returned a punt for a TD. Forced a FG from the 1-yard line at 27-20 and then managed to run the last three minutes off the clock with a couple of crucial first downs. I'm still amazed.

Your teams most memorable loss?

Don't really have one. We've won we were supposed to win and lost when we were supposed to lose, with the one exception being the game above!

Biggest rival?

Schwabe's Vienna, without a doubt, division rival at that. We lost 6-14 against them earlier this season which was the closest we'd been until last week, but they've dominated us every time up and for the simple reason they're better than we are. But my D played out of its skin so I finally found a way past them (for once).

Which opponent causes you the most headaches?

See above!

Which opponent do you admire/respect the most?

There's a whole bunch of good players in Admirals 1 & 2, a lot of people who really know their stuff, so every opponent and every game is hard.

What do you feel is your biggest team management mistake?

Going bankrupt at the end of my first season (S22) because I splashed in the transfer market and never checked my economic forecast. Cost me a couple of players that I didn't mind and one I really did, my first draft choice CB Francisco Menezes. Stupid error, but you live and learn.

Audible! Answer a question you wished you were asked.

If you could go back in time (or now) and be any NFL player you could be, who would you choose and why?

Can't be bad being Tom -G.O.A.T-, all those wins, SBs, model wife, pots of money...pity it had to be with the NFL's Evil Empire, but hey they can't beat us in the SB!!

Championship game is on the line! It's 4 and goal at the 2 - under 30 seconds left to play and you are behind by 3. What do you do?? Go for the tie or the win?

WIN. If we can't pick up two yards to win a game we don't deserve to win. Of course, my settings probably say kick the FG but given the option at the time...

Any last comments?

I'd love to see downfield passing actually be a reasonable option in this game, but as is its a pretty darned good sim.

Thank you for your time and contribution to making this a fun and competitive game!

From Elite, ranked #15 globally and owner of 27 trophies including S24 Global Bowl Championship (Super Cup) it's Bwadders76 - owner of Shard End Sharks!

Hi Bwadders76!

What part of the world are you from?

I am from Birmingham, England

Who is your real world favorite team?

Miami Dolphins woke up in the middle of the night back in the 80's when they were playing the 49ers in the Superbowl and have been a fan ever since.

Who is your all-time favorite player?

From the Dolphins Dan Marino between him and the Marks brothers they made watching the game fun. Was always a fan of Barry Sanders, Deon Sanders and Reggie White back in the day though.

How long have you been here at RZA?

Back end of season 3 I believe I caught the last regular season game.

What is the inspiration for your teams name?

Shard End is the area of Birmingham I am from and the Sharks seems to go with it.

How would you describe your team?

Decimated but steady with one eye on the future.

Brag about your most dangerous star player.

I actually don't really have one.

Your teams most important/favorite win?

I've had more important wins like this seasons run to the Supercup Bowl and two Admirals 1.1 League titles but a friendly cup bowl win against San Diego Blitz always stands out especially as I shut him out that game. This could all change tomorrow afternoon though.

Your teams most memorable loss?

Again this could change tomorrow but back in season 8 I think it was the Admirals 1.1 Conference Championship game against Sinna Ladd Tromso losing by such a small margin with only a minute or so on the clock really hurt!

Biggest rival?

Now it will probably be the Green Mark Packers or Vamosahi as we seem to play one another in so many crucial games. But who can forget the rivalry I had with Derbyshire Electric over the seasons I'm sure the Admirals forum still hasn't recovered from those days. In the coming seasons I suspect my friendship with the Erdington Doleys will turn in to a rivalry as his side develops.

Which opponent causes you the most headaches?

Anyone who plays an unimaginative playbook. There's a few that stand out there. Increase the Karma I say!

Which opponent do you admire/respect the most?

Obviously stalwarts like the Leeds Celtics, San Diego Blitz and Landru Athletcis have to be up there but I have a lot of respect for Toni Gorilla and his side

What do you feel is your biggest team management mistake?

There's been a few drunken purchases I wish I hadn't made but nothing can beat last seasons contract / rollover issue. I still have a whine about the players I have lost when I'm in the pub with the Doleys (obviously only on giro day!). Sure I got to put a few of them on the market but a lot of my better players hit 30 and retired so I think I lost about 8 or more starters from my roster.

Audible! Answer a question you wished you were asked.

Nothing really jumps out at me but maybe something more non game / football related would have been good to see so we can get to know this diverse group of people we have here.

Championship game is on the line! It's 4 and goal at the 2 - under 30 seconds left to play and you are behind by 3. What do you do?? Go for the tie or the win?

Hmmmm not sure. Maybe you'll find out how brave I am tomorrow!
