This week we are featuring two rookie success stories:
Bathing Apes impressed friend and foe last season when he posted a 7-9 record in his first season. They are currently unbeaten and surely looking to make a play at the divisional title. Krugodam Stompers managed to stay up with a 3-13 record but showed flashes of brilliance. They have currently already equaled their wins of last season and when you consider they're extremely low wage bill you've got to admire krugodam. Our beat writers have been sent out to seek out these mercurial managers. EDITORIAL NOTE: we realised too late that Krugodam had already been featured a few weeks ago. A staff member then duly reminded the editor that he has not updated the stickied post of the Game of the Week. Something he will rectify asap. |

We met up with krugodam who has some very good advice for new players:
Question 1. You already have more wins than the whole of last season. You have a low wage bill. You are improving in a steady line. Sounds like the perfect manager to give tips to new teams in Thunder 1.1 on how to be(come) successful in Thunder 1.1. All I would say is be smart in the transfer market. Apart from my 6 draftees and a few hangovers from my original team, all my players are from the transfer market, yet I have a low wages bill. When I see players who started around the same time as me who have a huge wage bill already I think that might not end well. Question 2. Your WR Chalermchai Mahidol has scored 4 TDs already this season however he also frustrates fans to no end due to his 10 drops already this season. Is this something that might affect his place on the DC? He has no competition so he stays for the rest of the season! Question 3. Give me a stat about your team that you think will matter this season? My team has given away a lot of turnovers lately. That needs to change. Question 4. What do you think will be the deciding factor in this game? I think his defence will be too good for my offence. |

And straight after we encountered 90210 as he was filling up his car at a petrol station:
Question 1. You had a very successful rookie season. What is the aim this season? We've been up to a pretty good start this season so a winning record would be cool. Question 2. Fans are scratching their heads about why your FB Paul Nicolle is still getting snaps after he has fumbled twice already this season. What is your response to this? We have some young FBs in training but until they're ready, Paul's our guy. Question 3.. Give me a stat about your team that you think will matter this season? Defense. Made some improvements to my DLine as well as CB corps over the offseason. Question 4. What do you think will be the deciding factor in this? It's a fairly even match, I think it could be anyone's game. |

I wasn't expecting to win thats for sure. Whole team played really well today.
