You should consider to invest in the YA too. In the long term, you can get 1 to 2 really good players per season. They will be instant starter first and then good player to develop able to start at 25 years old.
However if your strategy is to built your team only through the market, it is maybe not necessary. This is two valid strategies.

If you want to build through the market, a YA can still be a good choice, since you could still produce those 2 starters per season, but focus on the high demanded players and sell them hopefully for more than you need to buy your roster players.
