We talked to long standing Thunder 1.1 member Hong Wu:
Question 1. Nine games into the season you are still in the running for the divisional title. Do you think you have a realistic chance at winning it? We will play our game, and focus on each game one at a time. If that means we win the division, that would be a fine result. Our philosophy is to focus on playing Xu Da football, and the results will take care of themselves. Question 2. Your QB has been sacked 12 times and your rushers average a paltry 2.27 yards per carry. It seems your O line is still a weakness. Is this known / being addressed or is this still part of the rebuild that has been going for a few seasons now? Running the ball is a critical part of Xu Da football, and the offensive line will form the foundation. We need to keep improving our blocking and organization, and we do believe that we have talented, young players in the right positions for the long term. They will gain more skills and experience in the seasons to come, and our run game will trend higher as a result. Question 3. What do you think will be the deciding factor in this game? We need to play Xu Da football, and that should be good enough! Question 4. Related to question 1 but focusing more on the long term, give me the state of your team and what you project it to be over the coming 5 seasons. As part of our rebuild, we have drafted well and our youth program has continued to produce top-knotch talent. We have youth and talent at every position right now, and we just need to continue building on our strong foundation. Over the next 5 seasons, we will play Xu Da football, and that should be enough for championships! Question 5. What was your best buy on the Transfer Market ever? Rafael Carvalho, who is now our starting fullback. He is one of the fastest and strongest players on our team, and he can do it all: blocking and running the ball. Carvalho will be our bedrock at fullback for seasons to come. Question 6. What NFL team do you support in real life and why? Dallas Cowboys!!!
