I would sell all three. At the higher levels you need the physicals. Also, if you don't run too much just play your FB at RB, it will save you some salary. I try to keep my team down to around 40 players at all times to save salary. It also gives those 40 players more opportunities to gain experience.

I'm moving this exact direction myself. Both the FB as RB and the 40ish players.

Jesus. I'm at 69 players. How the hell do you keep it at 40?

Every off season I do a spreadsheet on my entire roster. I look at each position and how many of those players I need including backups. Next I sell the guys that are older if I have a younger replacement who will be up to the total skillset of the older player within a season or two. With the younger guys I look at them and figure out where will they be in training in 4-5 seasons and if they will ever be a starter based on the other players that I have. If the answer to that question is no, then I sell them. These are the reasons that if you look at my roster, I have a very young team considering there rating that is not super expensive.

That`s very interesting...after my last defeat i have put for sale my only RB and i was thinking to sell one of my two TEs...money issues...but now i see that you are a champion without RBs,TEs and with only 4 WRs.....amazing

I didn't talk to MSU, but I have a spreadsheet I'm using that is very similar to his. I did scout his roster in detail as well as BuddyRyan's and the Blitzkrieg. This also included true statistical analysis in excel of choices for playbook variants or playbook over a full two seasons for each team.

I analyzed what they call in what situations and tried to identify variant playbook types.

This spreadsheet does two things. 1) Budget, 2) extrapolates ratings

I have a budget sheet that tells me how much I can spend on players and coaches based on income etc and assumptions such as playoff games/SC playoffs income etc.

Secondly, the extrapolation provides a spot for x number of years before a chosen age that is "too old to sell" and then multiplies and adds the number of training periods times what I know, historically, to be the amount of training per update. This gives me a number of where that and all players will be at prime age.

Simply put this extra work is the "thing" that makes this game fun still for me.

Jesus. Its a wonder how i've had any success in this game for how little work I put into it compared to everyone else.

Welp, looks like it's time to create a spreadsheet to figure out who to cut on this team! Doesn't look like i'm gonna make the play-offs anyhow.

I still have a spreadsheet but only use/u p d a t e it once every off-season to determine draft/free agent targets and trim the fat on the roster. I have 56 players on the roster so I guess I'm between the extremes but will sell a few soon.
