Big News this, The Jags owner Mr Khan has tabled a massive offer for Wembley Stadium. the 90000 home of Soccerball in England. The English FA who own the stadium have confirmed they are in advanced negotiations which is a strong hint that this is far more than a poor dream and is seriously being considered.
This would clearly be a massive step towards securing the First out of US franchise for the NFL. It has long been rumoured that he has wanted to move the Jags and securing an ultra modern massive stadia such as this really is a step along the way. |

Doubt it, he recently opened a multi million project in rebuilding the area around the stadium (Jacksonvilles stadium)

Good business move for him rather than the Jaguars being moved to London.

I think you're right, but can't see any existing teams moving. Jaguars were most likely until Khan put so much money in Jacksonville but can't see any other teams that are likely to move in the near future. Ideally, they'd somehow make a european division with 3 other new teams, but that seems like a dream scenario too |

It wouldn't surprise me if Khan intends for the Jaguars to play multiple games in London each season, reminding the Jacksonville fanbase he is still commited to them by investing lots of money there as well.

He is investing money in regenerating the shipyard area which will be self financing and make him a profit anyway. Who knows his long terms thoughts. What i do think though is he seems a shrewd influential high energy forward thinking owner. I think he will drive the NFL expansion abroad and I think the commissioner shares this view of the future. I think he would be the perfect owner of a franchise abroad but again this does not necessitate it has to the Jags, they could change ownership and remain (and Khan's regeneration will not hurt the teams value either). I am actually impressed by his ownership and think he is an asset for the NFL. I do think he is positioning hjmself as a very influential player on a world level in terms of sports. Absolutely agree he is doing a lot of good from what I can see. |
