Thanks Superpippo, very interesting predictions I hope you are right!
The spicy in this menu is Växjö Gladiators AFC ... they could easy be the S32 big surprise. Baltimore Ravens: losing against Constanta Sailors + DC Washingtonians + Philadelphia Phoenix -> 10-4 Växjö Gladiators AFC: losing against: Constanta Sailors x 2 + DC Washingtonians -> 10-4 So all depends on the result of our double match! if we score 1-1 we can end both 11-5 and so also MSU has to win ... Michigan State Spartans: losing against Wasteland Wolves + Idrosburghi Verona -> 11-5 but if Naprzód Marsz! win -> 10-6 (of course if noTown*mYsTics doesn't change his mind in the meanwhile...) very interesting second half of the season... Thanks to ptdoc again for his reviews |

Week 9 Headlines
Stingy Wasteland Wolves' defense secures win vs HighTowers Superpippo's defense bought on a clinic, which was necessary for the win because the offense didn't contribute much in a 16-3 win over the Konjarnik HighTowers. The Wolves held ulero's team to just 215 total yards of offense, but their own offensive struggles had this game at just 9-3 entering the 4th qtr. But the Wolves put together a 5-minute, 75yd TD drive to start the final qtr capped by the 2yd TD pass from QB Lukas Meyer to WR Samy Leroy to put this one away. NY Revolvers challenge another play-off caliber squad I'm really liking this Revolver team. They have a legit offense that scores a lot. This time, they fell to the Rainbow Warriors 37-23. The Warriors took the opening kick back for a 98yd TD by Roddy Adam, but the Revolvers rallied to take a 13-10 lead into the half. With the Revolvers threatening to score again to start the second half, Warrior CB Ralph Ralph (not a typo) picked a Samuel O'Callaghan pass for a 94yd TD sparking ashlee's team to explode for 17 points in the third qtr. Those two TDs were big for ashlee because his defense had a hard time slowing down the Revolvers, who accumulated an impressive 534 yards of offense (compared to 284 for the Warriors). Naprzód Marsz! uses big 4th qtr to beat Cubs Naprzód Marsz! defense was every bit as impressive as the Wasteland Wolves, holding the Chicago Cubs to just five first downs and 189 yards of offense in their 33-14 win. But like Superpippo, the Grzymisław's offense struggled a bit. Settling for FGs for much of the game, Marsz! held only a 16-7 lead after three quarters. Then his offense scored the first 17 points in the 4th qtr to put this one to bed. |

Single play of the day in the match of the day :
3:28 4 and 6 to go on opp 35, Ryan Constant (OC) snaps the ball to Grec Frazer (QB), Grec Frazer (QB) selected Nero Dadan (WR/L) as target, the pass goes inner left to the receiver, who catches the ball, Nero Dadan (WR/L) tackled by Eliot Wauters (CB/R), forward progress: 7 yards, New first down (Shotgun 4 WR vs. 3-3-5) more Without this strike of genius, Superpippo takes the win home by 20:14 or 20:17. Instead the win goes to the Catamounts 21:20. I am truly impressed ! |

So you gotta go for it.... I was lucky and the Random Number Generator Gods loved me today. It also helps that I have a very good QB throwing to my Best WR. Week 10 Headlines
Another bye week and a lot of lopsided matches doesn't give me much to report on...except for perhaps two of the more entertaining games of the season: Dalton downs Wasteland Wolves; Griffins lone unbeaten I cringe every time a football commentator announces it is fourth down and the team has to punt/kick a FG. JaGreen bucked that trend, and his 4th qtr, 4th down heroics allowed his team to prevail, 21-20 over the previously undefeated Wolves. The Catamounts pounced early, putting together two 2nd qtr TDs to go up 14-3 at the half. But it was Superpippo's turn scoring the next 17 points over the next quarter and a half. Following a 4th qtr TD to give the Wolves a 20-14 lead with about 9 minutes remaining, the Catamounts embarked on a nearly 7:30 drive covering 80 yards that culminated in a 17yd TD pass from QB Grec Frazer to WR Shiran Strÿt with 1:52 left. The Wolves quietly went three and out on the next drive (and curiously punted on 4th down) and the game was over. As mentioned earlier, the JaGreen's bold play calling went a long way to win this game, converting two fourth down attempts on that game-winning drive. Another huge play that gets lost is in the 2nd qtr, facing a 1st and Goal from the 1, Catamount OLB Duncan Armstrong came up with a sack and the Wolves eventually settled for a FG. Had Superpippo found a way to score a TD from the 1 instead of taking the sack, the results could have been very different. Gladiators win shootout over Ravens in critical AC South showdown The Baltimore Ravens have gained some notoriety for mounting large second half comebacks en route to impressive wins. Today, PJ found himself on the wrong side of a second half comeback, falling 42-34 to Växjö Gladiators AFC. A scoreless 1st qtr finally ended when the Gladiators found the end zone with 1:48 remaining. At that point, it looked to be a low scoring affair, but then the floodgate opened. The Ravens responded with what looked like a knockout punch 31-pt 2nd qtr to go up 31-7 at the half. Game over? Not in the AC South. RavenCorp responded quickly in the 3rd qtr with a 57 yd punt return TD by Sudesh Shan. From there, the Gladiator offense found its footing and scored two more TDs to cut the deficit to three entering the 4th qtr. Game on! The Ravens managed to tack on another FG early in the 4th, but momentum had already swung in the Gladatiors' favor as they posted two more TDs, regaining the lead with 4:20 remaining on a 10yd TD pass from QB Jaroslav Svoboda to WR Percy Sturgeon. |
