Lawrence Taylor Award - Team of the year
The award goes logicaly to DC Washington. Their regular season was almost perfect with only a close loss to another great team, the Baltimore Ravens. At the end they won the Bowl with solid performances including an epic comeback against MSS.

In the talk: Dormund Griffins, Munich Runners, Baltimore Ravens, Michigan State Spartans

Don Shula Award - Manager of the year:
Sometimes it can happen the best team does not really have the best manager. This season, it is not the case as ptdoc2017 won the title showing a great playbook use. His choices were pretty good in defense. He won with a sweet pass/run balance approach and without an intensive use of Shotgun 4 WR like many think to be the best formation. Impressive!

In the talk: Alasdaire, Buziano, PJRavens, Spartans11

Payton Manning Award - Comeback of the year:
Until this season, the Devon Warriors did not play a post-season game nor have a winning season since Season 30. They went from 4-12 to 12-4 this season and played a decent game in the wild-card round. So yes their schedule was fairly easy, yet they had some interesting wins too.

In the talk: Naprzód Marsz!, Philadelphia Phoenix

Nick Foles Award - Most improved team of the year:
At the risk to seems not so humble, I will give it to the Alpin Ducks. Thier rating went from 59.0 to 67.2 and their record from 2-14 to 8-8. A true joke last season, they showed some good things this year with some minor upsets and very close losses.

In the talk: Devon Warriors, Denver Broncos

JaMarcus Russel award - Disapointment of the year:
This will seem a little bit harsh as they had a decent PO run, but I think we can expect better from a 84 rated team with a huge palmares like Naprzód Marsz!.

In the talk: Marife Lacion, La Spezia Sprugoleans, Bautzen Greywolves

Music City Miracle award - Game of the year:
We can agree that Michigan State Spartans @ Munich Runners was the kind of game we love to win and hate to lose. After a great MSS start (14-0), Munich came back close at half time (17-14). On the third quarter, MSS increased the lead by a bit (27-21) until Munich took it for the first time with 7 minutes left in the game (27-28). We all thought MSS did the hardest part by taking back the lead in the money time (34-28). However the Germans did not gave up and two 27 yards and one 26 yards passes later, they sealed the game with only 10 seconds left on the clock. Mind blown!

Mark Sanchez Award - WTF of the year:
This award goes to the Denver Broncos as an all for their season. They started by throwing 50 interceptions in only 4 games thanks to a medium passes only tactic. After some kind advices from other managers and without showing any gratitude, they changed their tactics and started winning games and posting minor upsets. While the team was starting to look promising, they just gave up on the game and turned bot.

Jean François Tuqiri Award - Best QB

This has been pretty difficult to decide this one as I wanted to consider the opponents that each QB faced. Lothar Sommer (Dortmund Griffins) led the rankings in TD (75) but faced 2 bots teams (for 12 TD), only completed 65% oh his passes and threw 9 INT. Takashi Okui (Michigan State Spartans) probably faced the toughest schedule beside 3 bot games while posting 75 TD (22 against bots) but also threw 13 INT during the season. At the end my choice for the Tuqiri award is Uasilaa Vesikula (Baltimore Ravens) who had the best accuracy among the contender with almost 70%, the best QB rating and the best TD-INT ratio with 46-1.

Marcelo Larkin Award - Best Receiver

There was not much discussion on this award. Winfred Cloud (Michigan Spartans) got almost 350 catchable targets which is 100 more than the second most targeted player of the league and is far to have posted the biggest average yardage per catch, but how could we pass on him while he score 4 TD and posted 560 yards more than the second receiver in those categories? Totally we are talking about 24 endzone visit and 2431 yards covered. The Spartans can be pround and Calvin Johnson jealous!

In the talk: Daniel Dujardin (Dortmund Griffins), Dylan Conte (The Alpin Ducks), Damián Vera (Marife-Lacion).

Nunzio Manfredi Award - Best Rusher

In this case again the volume will have a big impact on the productivity. Saverio Maistrello (Idrosburghi Verona) was not the most efficient RB this season. He rushed for 5.6 yards per rush while Kirill Vdovin (Munich Runners) did 6.3 and ranked first among 100+ rushers . However thanks to his 473 rushes, he was able to produce 2646 yards and 36 TD. For comparisaon, the second highest volume was 343 runs, the second highest yardage was 1429 and the second highest TD number was 29.

In the talk: Vernon Leahy (Schrodingers Cats), Noa Klincarski (Gdansk Redskins), Kirill Vdovin (Munich Runners)

very cool, and very flattering

Naprzód Marsz! as most disappointing is both harsh and understandable. But he did make the playoffs. I think Marife and Gladiators both had the most disappointing seasons given that both made the playoffs last year and went 11-5 only to miss the playoffs this year (either that, or they also qualify for the WTF of the season. 11-5 and miss the playoffs?)
