This is pretty rare nowadays to have some big transfer moves. The idea is not to complain and I would appreciate if people can avoid whining about it here.
On the contrary, I'd like to congratulate Buziano and BoneBruiser for this 50 Millions transaction over Reyes Paulson who will certainly become the future BoneCrushers star QB. That is a nice move for the Runners who bought him only a little bit more than 5 Millions few seasons ago. No player has been bought that expensive since season 36 with the free agent Daniel Hjulsager being acquired for 50 000 100 $ by the Inbhir Narann. Since season 34, we actually had only 5 transfers over 40 Millions: 1 - LB Daniel Hjulsager - Free Agent - bought by Inbhir Narann in S36 for 50 000 100 $ 1 - LB KlausPeter Leüenbärger - Free Agent - bought by Traktor Tiefe Furche in S36 for 50 000 100 $ (currently playing in a BOT team) 3 - QB Reyes Paulson - Social Distance Runners - bought by BoneCrushers in S36 for 50 000 000 $ (initially bought 5 231 223 $) 4 - QB Takashi Okui - Michigan State Spartans - bought by DC Washingtonians in S36 for 49 494 950 $ (initially bought 185 000 000 $) 5 - QB Clovis Peltier - Free Agent - bought by The Alpin Ducks in S34 for 43 546 880 $ Last edited on 2020-05-18 12:10:22 by Kanar |

That is a lot of virtual money! But the player seems very good so it is probably worth it.
My biggest transfer so far is one of my current DL, on which I have spent 10 million. Now I think it was a bit too much but it is just my oppinion. |

I think the reason for the lack of bigger transfers right now is that
a) you can easily train players quite fast b) less managers playing, so the available free agents are devided between less managers and less managers are rebuilding/reloading/catching up. c) most of the money goes into wages with overall spend wages going (from my personal observation) up per team, means less money for transfers All combined does not help to build up transfer-tycoon-empires. |

The assassination of the transfer market absolutely ended one of the fun aspects of RZA...

I agree with Jack about the many reasons - I have made it to Elite after joining at the end of season 31 and picked up great cheap free agents and players keeping a low salary bill and making a profit in every season I've played.
Its only in the last few months I've started to pay up to 12mil for a player I actually bid up to 30mil for Reyes as I have a big war chest now and realise that QB is the position that I need to address as my starter gets older. |

Just for the record: the number of Free Agents is based on the number of active managers. So with 300 managers today we put exactly the half of free agents on the market as we did when the game was accompanied by 600 managers. So this is no reason for changed transfersums, since the offered free agents per manager quotient is the same. |

Do you think having better draft players, some of which become free agents, played a part in changing the mindset of the managers? |

probably. I would like to point out that is was no single action that caused the "assassination of the tm".

Can we talk about the TM without starting this old debate again? It’s changed, we know it. Let’s move on.
Also like a wise green little guy full of Guinness said few months ago, repeating an opinion does not make it the truth! |
