We have thre more teams willing to play.

Not the greatest start to the tournament for the HAMBURG SEA LIONS, but at least we kept it close. As did the other two teams in Group 3, so we're all within 10 points difference to each other

Second game in the first round today, and we have to go against the Sunrise City Prairie Dogs. If we do not win this one, and it would be marvelous if we did, we're almost out of this cup again.
And I'd guess we can not win against the Prairie Dogs, because we had this kind of upset against them already when we beat them in the Supercup earlier this season. I can't imagine something like that happening twice... 
... but who knows

Pizti Beltzak are facing San Diego Blitz for the second day in a row.
In yesterday's league game, we held on for three quarters. We will see if today we can get to the end of the game with a chance to win. It would be a big step to be in the second round of the Cup. Good luck and enjoy |

We kept it close, but failed to get crucial First Downs... and the Pass Rush of the Prairie Dogs was too fast for our O-Line.

The Comanches and the Bangers played a close one too... so first to last are still only 19 points apart in Group 3. Two wins for two teams and two losses for the other two seems definite, but the two best and the two worst teams still have to play each other on the last game day. Friendly Cups didn't go too well for the HAMBURG SEA LIONS this season, and we exit this one today without even winning a game. We were close at one point in the game today, but we had to rally to this particular point after giving the ball away twice and not being able to gain yardage against the 3-man-front of the opponent in the first half. And when we reached this point we again failed to deliver and all was for naught.
Congrats, Desert and good luck... maybe you sneak into the next round with this one |
