What I really don't get is, why the Free Agent Market does work as it does right now.

Bad or one-sided players sometimes get huge amount, while nice prospects are ignored, because they are not super on all scales.

But on the other end, people are complaining, that they can't find the players they want (which is fine) and settle with whatever crap is coming from the draft and do adjust as best as possible.

I have a fine youthy right now on the market, not super, but checks from my point of view all basics for a good LB prospect, only 19 years old, and no one wants him. I would assume an team starting the last 3-4 seasons should be at least interested to boost their YA output. Pfff. But if a players is cut, people wine on the prospect to be 'gone'.

Don't get it.

Season starts today

Regular Season
On game day 1 and 3 the Miners have to very difficult opponents. Caplit e salma and Leverkusen Leopards. Both games will show in which direction our season may go. After nine players lost due to age related over last season end we have to see wehere we stand. So there is a lot of uncertainty before the start of the season.

Supercup
- 32 Elite teams
- 18 Supercup divisions
That means on average not even 2 elite teams per division.
In "my" division there are 5 elite teams. Plus 6 human level 1 teams. With an avg ELO of 989 the toughest Division. It will be realy hard to qualify for the playoffs.

May all teams stay with us over the course of the season. I wish everyone a great season. Have fun.

Recap game day 1
Bad start into the game. Both first offense series starts with an interception from our QB. And ended with a TD for our opponent. But till halftime we were able to reach a 16 - 16 tie.
After a scoreless third quarter were we able to rush a TD. And seconds later, our defense managed an interception and brought it back for a TD. Caplit e salama was only able to kick a FG in the remaining time.
Final score: Caplit e salama 19 @ 30 Ruhrpott Minors
It was a mediocre game. Greetings to manutad.

Game day 2
First official game against Tokha Tigers. It will be long flight to Khatmandu. But despite the travel rigors we want to return home with a win. All the best, Frankebasta.

15 degrees C and a sunny day in Kathmandu for the Tigers home debut. Perfect day for football.
Unfortunately, the Tigers are not ready to take on established teams just yet..... keeping the score within 20 points is our goal.

Sorry for the delay. There was a lot to celebrate on Sat, following the homecoming game, and tomorrow we hit the road, or, should I say - the air. Had to buy the airline tickets to Italy, make sure new foreigners in the squad got the passports. Then we fly to Canada, and to find which Willoughby we are talking about was a tough task in itself. Finally to end the trip in Tex. Boy, do I need an assistant.

Anyway, the first SC game yesterday was relatively uneventful. Our guests are only in the beginning of their path to glory. But the homecoming game... that was quite a spectacle!
Both teams are a nearly perfect matchup. 770 vs 774 ELO, 118 vs 115 rank global.
But until the last quarter, it was all Rabbits, Hopping all over the field - we entered the final 15 minutes of regular time with the score 17:0.
But then, carried by the chants of our fans, a miracle started happening. It all started with fumble recovery by our young DE, Gibbs, deep into our territory. Our first TD in the match by our future TE star, Wendt - 17:7. Then, with less than 5 minutes on the clock, Darrell Morrow, RB, made it 17:14 and we were back in it!
The score was made even at 17:17 by Benny Moore, with the 43 yard FG with just 13 seconds left on the clock!
OT!
It was first the Snappers who had the chance to win the match, but instead of securing a win, we let Lawrence Diamond intercept the 1 and 10 on the Rabbits' 26 - and the chances again started looking grim.
But it was not going to be the visitors' day - after the first 45 minutes of regular time they stopped carrying the ball. They tried an FG, but from 53 yards? Fat chance.
You probably think - ok, Orono by 3?
Ha ha. No. Our boys decided to make it more fun for those fans freezing in the stands.
1 and 10 on own 43. "Go for it, Ninjas!" - a shout in my head.
1 and 10 on opp 35, 1 and 10 on 23... "Yes!!! We are gonna win it!.... wait..." - I feel a chill running thru my bones. "What the... MICHAEL!!! COME ON!" But I see him shaking his head - 1 and 10!!! on opponents 13!!! In the OT!!!!!
I closed my eyes, and only the sudden total silence in the stands told me what was next... Luckily, because I'd pass out if I knew it was gonna be a 2 and 1 on 4, and our 2nd QB in that meeting in charge, Todd Person.....
And then... the stadium exploded!! I don't think I've ever heard such noise in the history of this franchise.
TOUCHDOWN!

:-)
