We are 4 games into the season, and that means it is time for my way too early season predictions!
AC East With todays loss to Trnava, my Devils have dropped from the unbeaten ranks and joined a 3 way tie for first place in terms of record. Already this has been a crazy season, with the Devils beating the Raccoons, and the Raccoons beating Trnava, who then came back the very next gameday and slapped the Devils hard in the second half of our match. Honestly, I think Trnava will still win the division this season, but they face much better competition than in recent seasons. Trnava-Division Champ Raccoons or Devils will be a possible wildcard AC North The Rockabilly Kings are leading handily inside their division, and I do not see this changing easily, though the Cottbus Cobras have faced better teams so far, in all honesty. This could be a tight contest, but I think the Cobras can come back to challenge for the division title, and they are my favorite to win it. AC South The only teams that matter here are the Rabbits and the Doves, by team rating I give it to the Rabbits, but their one loss so far was against the Doves  I expect a tight race, and the Doves have a chance to pull it off, but I think the Rabbits still hang on to the division for at least this season.
AC West We have two premier teams in the league in the same division, with the Snappers and the Blue Devils fighting it out for the lead. So far, both are unbeaten, but with two matches head to head, they each have a chance to control their own destiny. I give the edge to the Devils (not just because we share a mascot though) NC East Trnje has the misfortune of being in the same division as the Black Habaneros (we have been there, and it's not pretty) Easy division win for the Habaneros and likely first round bye for the playoffs NC North Another easy division to call, birney's weekenders all the way, with little to challenge them. NC South Ruhrpott Miners have a clear lead right now, with a win over Paxtang, it doesn't look good. The Panthers can still claim a wildcard spot most likely, but to win the division is going to be a huge challenge. NC West The Tokha Tigers are having an incredible season so far, if they can keep it up, especially against the solid Suchdol Minors, they have a clear path to the division title. It will be close, but I think they have a shot at it! |
