The HAMBURG SEA LIONS come off a brutal loss in the Supercup against the Willoughby Wookies. They scored 17 points, which against this competition is quite nice… but the Defense couldn’t stop a nosebleed in the first 3 quarters. Almost every pass attempt by Wookies-QB Jean Boyce was a completion, and when SEA LIONS QB Bryant Stover got injured in the 4th quarter it was easy pickings for the Wookies Defense, too.
This is quite troubling, as our scouts have not once, not twice, but multiple times pointed out the reliance of the Manta Rays Offense on the mighty arm of Dusty Humes… and he continues to provide a good service at the moment. So today would be a nice day for the HAMBURG SEA LIONS defensive backfield to step up as an awesome pass defending unit. They showed it in the game against St Pauli that they can do it… but can they do it again? The Manta Rays come off a loss in the Supercup, though, too, against the Green Mark Packers. A game in which they did not get their passing game going the way they were against league competition. Maybe the Defensive Coordinator of the HAMBURG SEA LIONS has found something studying this game to stop Manta Rays from scoring tonight? However: We’re ready for the game, and we’re eager to make it interesting
