From manual: If you forget to assign a position or no player is present due to injury, then a player from the same position group will be selected.
I have for my gameonly one QB on my DC. This QB got injured, but non of my other 2 QBs from my rooster was selected. The engine selected a random player from my whole rooster. Did I unterstood the manual wrong or is this a bug. 0:11 Lucea Cardinals: Jecha Sesay (QB) injured (Twisted knee) during the play (I-formation vs. 4-3-4) 0:11 1 and 10 to go on opp 30, Laudalino Danjuma (OC) snaps the ball to Godrell Newman (QB), who hands off to Natrick Douglas (FB/R), this seems to be a run over the left end, Natrick Douglas (FB/R) tackled by Edmund Oswald (OLB/R), forward progress: 6 yards (Shotgun 2 WR vs. 4-3-4) 15:00 2 and 4 to go on opp 24, Laudalino Danjuma (OC) snaps the ball to Zahran Aguda (QB), hands off to Vance Gray (HB/R), he starts running over the center, there is no Defense Line after the block, and gets tackled by Jackie Lytle (SS/R), forward progress: 14 yards, New first down (Pro set vs. 4-3-4) 14:27 1 and goal to go on opp 10, Laudalino Danjuma (OC) snaps the ball to Hamdaan Danjuma (QB), Vance Gray (HB/C) gets the ball, this seems to be a run over the left end, the well blocked Defense Line can't do anything against, Vance Gray (HB/C) tackled by Francesco Laster (OLB/R), forward progress: 7 yards (I-formation vs. 4-3-4) 13:56 2 and goal to go on opp 3, Laudalino Danjuma (OC) snaps the ball to Scott Miles (QB), who hands off to Vance Gray (HB/C), this seems to be a run over the left end, there is no Defense Line after the block, Vance Gray (HB/C) tackled by Morgan Mccarter (OLB/R), forward progress: 3 yards (Big I formation vs. 4-3-4) Newman, Aguda, Danjuma, Miles and all the other players are no QBs. it picks players from your DC and if there is no back up it picks randomly the players natural position means nothing in that regard

Is the best solution to name 2 QBs, but then check QB in the
"Don't allow substitutions for this positions, no matter what the other settings are! " setting? |

Yep, the engine will pic by DC, if this is not possible it will pic by roster, AS LONG you don't hit the 55 players rule, and if this won't work it will pic by random.
Please lets move this to the test stage, there we can look deeper into it, and we could track down it overthere, if you like |
