Do defensive players acquire stars faster than offensive players?

Just seems like all my defensive players are advancing faster than my offensive players and, in general, the offensive players are getting more PT (because of time of possession versus bots).

The stars are the average of a number of skills. for cb and sf we have two skills less, compared to QB as example. This means, the rating of such "less skills" positions grow faster

I think it is right, that some positions reach faster the 2,5* Rating.

Very fast: CB
Fast: LB, SF
Normal: QB, WR, OL, K, P
slow: RB, TE
very slow: FB, DL

This depends on how many skills are important for a position and how fast you can develope these.

Ahhhh...I was under the assumption that it was experience based like "another" game. Silly me...this makes sense.

It's really just an estimate of how good a player he'd be at that position...nothing more then?

Experience has a influence, too.

The player rating is a combination from a skillrating and an experience factor.

The difference to that other game is: the rating has no influence inside the game engine
